Yes, and then (like Sarkozy) prison, which may deter future politicians from feathering their own nests.
Bruce Banner
PMQs in a few minutes. How will BJ respond to Starmer? My guess is bombast, bluster and accusations of not supporting a government that is saving lives with jabs.

I'm sad that it might come to this. I wanted to see Boris preside over his glorious brexit for many years to come. Then to be undone by a redecoration. Bruce Banner
Our political system stinks........ Boris Johnson to have final say over whether he broke rules in flat refurb as electoral watchdog investigates - live | Politics | The Guardian No 10 says Johnson will retain final say over internal inquiry into whether he broke ministerial code The Downing Street lobby briefing is over. Here are the key points. Boris Johnson will have the final say over deciding whether or not he broke the ministerial code in relation to the funding of his flat - despite the announcement of an inquiry by the new independent adviser on ministerial interests appointed this morning. (See 11.33am.) The prime minister has always been the ultimate judge of whether or not a minister has broken the code. But, given that his own conduct is now being investigated, the prime minister’s spokesman was asked if Johnson would recuse himself from this investigation. The spokesman said Johnson would remain the “ultimate arbiter” of the code. This is how the Mirror sums this up.

He may well have final say over whether he broke the code. But he won't have final say over whether he broke the law. That will surely be for a court to decide. The £275k a year he used to receive from the Telegraph for his column. The £3.35m he and his wife got from the sale of their house 18 months ago. His book royalties and telly fees. Not paying any rent or transport. The £12,500 worth of gourmet food he's had delivered f.o.c. during the pandemic.
