  1. I saw that - a sort of gentle but tragic Brexit car crash. Also a much changed looking Douglas Carswell trying to bang the drum for Johnson. The bit on Northern Ireland was embarrassingly petulant - lets hope thats not how we're represented.
  2. The thing is - wasn't the original OP a little childish ? It is interesting reading about the reality of the relationship between countries - I know next to nothing of military cooperation - but even without that knowledge, nations were characterised as pantomime characters rather than nations with complex interests and objectives. A little morality tale for the ignorant about the white anglosphere vs the furreners is how populists and propagandists - especially former columnists ! - think, not how the real world actually works. Similarly while the pulling out of Afganistan was a calamity and the behaviour of PM and Foreign Secretary baffling, it would be simplistic to the point of childish to view it as some sort of 'personal' insult by the US against the UK.
  3. Interesting, so now the claim is that the US has based their geopolitical struggle with China around pleasing fecktard Leavers lol?
  4. Of course - nowadays no self respecting British circus act would be complete without some random Leaver blaming Remoaners and treehuggers
  5. It looks serious. The headlines are 'the government insist there will be no blackouts' which I'm reading as bills are going to go through the roof just as as universal credit is cut and people are dumped off furlough into winter.
  6. What do you think this is - an episode of Hollywood Wives ? 😂 After 2 days of radio I'm now a geopolitical expert and can confirm this has nothing to do with France or the UK or even Australia, this is all US and China.
  7. Maybe Biden loves Raab so much he advised him to take a holiday in August lol?
  8. Lmao what ?! No I’m asking you what is the relevance of the tweet you posted to Brexit and Brexiters: you provided no comment. If you look up thread there has been discussion on this story. Is it tub-thumping distraction for white anglophiles ? Is it something that would not have happened if we were in the EU ?
  9. Wow France are really p1ssed off. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/sep/18/aukus-france-ambassador-recall-is-tip-of-the-iceberg-say-analysts Funny quote though - anybody surprised ?:
  10. 🤯 Are you....basing your opinion on...Science ?!?!?!?
  11. So long as you’re not letting BJ shove you in any direction …
  12. That’s fair enough - but for those that aren’t nutters it’s their efficacy for intended use that’s more the question, bearing in mind all drugs will have side effects. Even vaccinating children didn’t get the thumbs up from the JCVI despite being slightly beneficial.
  13. You really need to ease off from smoking horse pills lol
  14. Well it would be great if it wasn't true. Denialist stupidity is bad enough without them poisoning themselves.
  15. Kind of metaphorically, but all the same you do it all the time. Disease is 'natures way', and it visits its righteous vengeance on the old and the weak who are also conveniently 'guilty' of spreading and grooming it. Unfortunately for your argument disease generally dngaf and also goes for children as @scottbeard pointed out. Also we are part of nature and we have choice. It sounds a bit like you're on the wrong side of the controversy around the confusion between 'natural selection' and the 'survival of the fittest' (tautologous) meme.
  16. Wouldn't it have made more sense to reduce the French contract and contract with both ? Get a few conventional subs in early and add the nuclear powered ones later ? Also what I'm not quite understanding is Australias role - I mean from its own perspective. Its not about to take on China on its own, presumably a sub fleet only makes sense as part of a broader coalition, in which case the wider the coalition the better rather than unnecessarily sticking it to the French to service the US.
  17. I think what he was trying to tell you is that if you assign a kind of holy moral agency to disease then you end up endorsing wiping out half our children.
  18. Funnily enough your comment would more or less also be a Groundhog Day of last year lol Case numbers and deaths are high and rising and we're about to enter the flu season. Its interesting the government appears to be ignoring the independent advice it needs at this point, also interesting that in the televised briefing the CMO's felt compelled to argue (again) for going in harder and earlier on the virus.
  19. I'd say a lot but obviously not just little old ladies - I guess it would pan out as a kind of social/wage cleansing of the south.
  20. So is this going to be a repeat of last year ? Meanwhile...
  21. Strange - that’s the same amount of pages of evidence of Leavers who’ve allied with Russian trolls literally out to destroy Britain lol
  22. Well now you mention it here is a bleeding heart PC woke poem for all the stupid clods out there lol: No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friend’s or of thine own were. Any man’s death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.
  23. According to Leavers, in one of the most epic and funny debates on this forum, roaming charges are a good thing. Then again any trashing of the UK and its citizens - big or small - is a good thing because, you know, Brexit lol
