You think only Remainers are Patriots?

Interesting question GD.

We have often heard it said from Leavers, on this thread, that Remainers are traitors (not from you I might add), that they are not patriotic. What you see here is a push back on that. Is'nt the poster just saying that Leavers 'think' they are the patriots, but are they really? He is presenting an arguement to make his point to leavers. Sounds reasonable to me.

If patriotism can be defined as the love of ones country, then alot rest of what what you consider 'ones country' to be in order for it to be protected and nurtured. That will determine what you think patriotism is.

A fount of wisdom winkie.

Here's hoping our govenerners are wise enough to do what is best for the UK and its people.....many feel it has reached a point where it has been taken out of our hands, beyond our control.....as if it ever was, or will be.?

When you resort to petty insults its evident that you are losing the argument by a considerable margin.

You can't accept that people can have a different point of view to your bigoted ideals.

So suck it up cup cake.

It also looks like Rangers will be staying in Europe longer than the UK.

A correct and accurate observation is not an insult. The fact that you perceive it as an insult only enforces it’s accuracy.

Aye, it’s a nonsense; and gets us nowhere.

After nice summer holiday, Boris realized ....

We desperately need them more than they need us!

I don't see it like that at all. He just realises it's better to talk than not to. Nothing lost by talking and potentially something gained, it's just common sense really.

There's nothing to talk about. The EU has re-affirmed its preference for No Deal over a bad deal.

Ratify the WA, or f**k off and die!

Sounds like you're more for give up and die than f**k off and die.

Of course no deal is preferable to a bad deal, that's why anyone who ever wants to completely rule out no deal is a moron (and yes, I'm thinking of both sides). But not continuing to talk until the last second is just as stupid. Might be the case there's very little chance of anything improving but there's none if you just give up as soon as someone starts getting childish and saying "that's it."

Less than happy with Bozo the dictator? Sign this. https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/269157

For those of the other persuasion, there are opposing petitions you can sign at the same place. (Usually ~10% of the anti-brexit ones.)

Interesting result. It shows that only a fraction of people now want to extend A50 or cancel Brexit.

There's a great deal of ill-feeling now on the European side. Any hope of leaving on good terms and remaining good neighbours has been forfeit. De Gaulle's instincts were sound after all.

Yes, I know they're still having a sulk, but there's nothing to be lost by trying to move on in a grown up manner, even if they're having difficulty with the concept.

Why not just say politicians of all parties, or all remainer MP's.

Why call out the Labour party alone....hmmmm I wonder.

ALMOST ALL LABOUR MPS  VOTED AGAINST THE DEAL ( 3 Labour MPs voted for the deal).

What Boris is having to do now, is a direct result of LABOUR blocking Brexit.

Corbyn's fumblings and pathetic incompetance as a leader has caused the huge problems we now face of a no-deal.

The irony here is that Boris VOTED FOR the deal

Which had the greater publicity, the discredited 2016 referendum or a one day old online petition.

Petitions travel fast due to social media. The BBC have been publicising it too because they aren't biased at all. The last remainer petition had over 6m votes.

It seems people will hear nothing against lovely cuddly Corbyn, especially if it is the truth ;).

Methinks you have been taken in by Corbyn's manufactured  "lower voice of reason" acting on telly.

Corbyn has no intention of doing what is right for the country, but has every intention of trying to further his true Marxist coloured ideals and that is why is on every protest going.

Funds invest in only ONE thing. So a Macro fund cannot invest in property.

What can a macro fund invest in?!

I thought they take a view on the economy and would switch between economies and asset classes based on their view of the economy. I don't see why that would rule out property. It sounds like your fund fits this description - they are investing in UK property because they believe the pessimism about this sector and sterling is overblown.
