Ok now I'm surprised !

I - in the most pompous way possible -  consider myself a music-head but had never heard of this album until hpc - and now it turns out theres two of you who've been air-guitaring (or singing into your bottle of wine)  to this for decades ?

Dorset band, line-up included Robert Fripp and Greg Lake.

I used to build those big heavy weight plinths for the 301, the 401, TD 124 and even the Lenco model.

The TD 124 was my weapon of choice. That was one seriously engineered deck.

I built a few valve amps over the years too. All good fun, especially at first switch on!

Did that for the 301 and the Lenco. Never heard the TD 124, supposed to be awesome.

Fav amp at the mo is my DIY 300b mono's with Aikido pre. Smooth, detailed, immediate. Low power is the issue...shouldn't have sold the Tannoys.

Bit off topic....momentary lapse.

OBR confirmed what was known for some time.

Impact of Brexit on economy 'worse than Covid'

Speaking after Wednesday's Budget, Mr Hughes said recent data showed the impact of Brexit was "broadly consistent" with the OBR's assumption that the leaving the EU would "reduce our long run GDP by around 4%".

"We think that the effect of the pandemic will reduce that (GDP) output by a further 2%," he added.

This will hit home in the next couple of years, especially so when the fog of covid has cleared.

More from the latest OBR report

"In summary, the evidence so far suggests that both import and export intensity have been reduced by Brexit, with developments still consistent with our initial assumption of a 15 per cent reduction in each. It is, however, too early to reach definitive conclusions because:

• The terms of the TCA are yet to be implemented in full, meaning trade barriers will rise further as more of the deal comes into force. For example, the introduction of full checks on UK imports has recently been delayed until 2022.

• The full effect of the referendum outcome and higher trade barriers will probably take several years to come through, with businesses needing considerable time to adjust."

Oh I do love the French they love stirring up trouble due to the bitter resentment we won't be funding their wonderful lifestyle anymore.

Just need the captain of the UK border force boat to be called Horatio Nelson and  fishing boat with a skipper called Napolean and the boat named Trafalgar and it could make great fun reading in the express or mail

So do I and I wish them well in their fight with the obnoxious BJ Brexit regime.

Brexit worse than  COVID:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10140019/Brexit-impact-economy-worse-coronavirus-pandemic.html

Edit:

I see the BBC report and OBR was posted above. But I can reflect that even the Mail is tiring of the Brexit turd.

I think many are hoping it will sort itself out 'in the end'.

Personally I think the real penny drop moment should actually be about the connection between Brexit and the state of the current government.

Sadly no it will become 'Brexit was a good idea but the implementation was amiss' as is taking hold now amongst those who were cheering it on. The mythology is huge.

I think there might be a scenario Brexiteers will hit before too long

while filling out the long (and over invasive) passenger locator forms to travel back via UK ( instead of just simply showing a covid pass like civilised European countries do) realised need to be able to receive the multiple authentication and verification texts the site sends

thank god I have roaming due to EU! it be hilarious the hole Brexiteers will find themselves in unable to complete forms once their roaming goes

"The outcome of that meeting was that 162 French vessels will be licensed to fish in Jersey's territorial waters from this Friday," the statement said.

Of the 162 licences, 113 were permanent, an increase of two, and 49 were temporary, an increase of 18.

Vessels with a temporary licence would be able to fish in Jersey waters until 31 January 2022, "to give them time to provide further data which is necessary to secure a permanent licence".

There were 55 vessels in a third category that would not have a licence to fish in Jersey waters after 31 October, said the statement.

55 still unresolved, looks like there will be more trouble on Tuesday.

Many don't yet realise the freedoms, choices they have lost and the costs, red tape and beuracracy they have taken on.......all in the name of brexit........the wealthy have gained so much more from brexit, their money will see those minor problems are negligible.....more freedom for them.;)
