They got 48% of the vote last time, compared to the GOP's 46%. I take your point re: the electoral college, but with a vote share like that last time, and the country going to hell in a handcart over the last 4 years, it would be a fair bet that the Dems carry this years vote quite legitimately. With a vote share of 48% giving only 42% of the electoral vote, I can see why the Dems might want to tinker with the Electoral College, can't you? But with the Supreme Court now balanced to the right, I doubt he'll manage it. The oldest GOP appointment is 'only' 72, he could probably see out Biden's 4 years easily! With Trump out of the picture, neither side will want Civil War 2.0, they both know that external forces would love to flood the place with arms and support to both sides if it were to happen...
