This year we have both a 1.5kg and a 1.2kg tin available, so plenty of Quality Street to share with the whole family. #FakeNews So we are all wrong, someone's just making it up that they are decreasing sizes to hide price rises. I've sent it on to the daily mail to point out Nestle are accusing them of fake news. I've also given them a piece of my mind ( not much left now ). What a bunch of patronising *****s

MattW
I bought a 4 pack of Lion chocolate bars from my local Roys supermarket (Nisa). FFS they were more like 'fun size' chocs you find in a tub of ' celebrations ' .
Social Justice League
Check out the £1 packet's of Penguins you get in the supermarkets these days. The wrapper each one comes in is larger than the actual bar. Space at the top with nothing in it....lol.

Before they shrank them, they a few years ago now, changed the recipe formulation.....'new improved recipe'.....no it was not improved, not improved for the consumer anyway imo, prehaps improved their own bottom line........one benefit of shrinkage is smaller bottoms. Ah-so
The sandwich selection in the lunchtime 'meal deals" has been cut back. Before it tended to include most of the midranked ones, but now increasingly being restricted to the budget sandwiches

Why bother with the different wrapper colours when all the biscuits taste the same?

Otherwise naked capitalism will ultimately shift it's goals to capturing democratic legislation, to maintain market monopolies, cartel and other predatory behaviour, whilst avoiding taxation or worse still, actively consuming taxpayer subsidies. The State is inflating the value of Fiat currencies away. This is the primary cause of price rises. The other factor is State regulation and taxation which increases cost of production. Consumers necessarily pay for the cost of the things they consume, thus they pay the increased costs.

I disagree, Anarchist! please report to room 101. There is nothing wrong with 'the State' when it works and serves the democratic will of the people. Which is not Fascism as I understand it. Or is this 'Facism' you speak of some kind of social media construct?

Even trying to view big business, the state, and even big charities, as separate entities is absurd these days. Its all the same people ffs! All economic systems become corrupted by people of certain personality types as soon as the theory leaves the page and enters the real world. winkie
Saw an ad advertising price drops, the dropped prices were higher than what the normal prices were in other places, so the before the drop prices were a high price.... the conclusion is all other products in that store will be a high price if you shopped there......so not exactly promoting a store, more telling potential customers you would be better off not doing your regular shop there. Yes. Corporations are and always have been a branch of the State. 16 hours ago, DarkHorseWaits-NoMore said: Or is this 'Facism' you speak of some kind of social media construct?
