Colin Dexter, they are dropping like ninepins today.

I met him a few years ago at a publishing do. Lovely chap, I've got a great picture of him gazing lovingly at my wife's norks in a low-cut top as she's chatting to him.

Top man.

I feel terrible starting this stuff every year whereas you clearly revel in it :)

:)

I've been involved since the inaugural contest - and when I entered Jimmy Hill in December 2015 for the 2016 event, and he croaked between Christmas 2015 and New Year 2016, I knew I was getting close to success.

I believe that winning this years "senior" category will propel me on to greater performances in future, and I look-forward to correctly predicting the demise of the odd Bay City Roller - and a couple of members of Showaddywaddy...!

Worth mentioning that Bob Dylan called Chuck Berry 'the Shakespeare of rock and roll..'.  Regarding mentors, Chuck himself said on US tv interviews the major influence on him was 40's 'swing' star Louis Jordan.

Chris Cornell of Sound Garden - Aged just 52

If you were there for the early years of MTV, then that is quite big.
