  1. I'm surprised your hero Vladmir Dobby has time for all this, considering he is busy murdering people in Britain. Dobby's second assassin sidekick has now been unmasked as Alexander Petrov. Errol, you sure picked a **** for your fanboi fawning.
  2. Shame that in the REAL world, as opposed to Errol's imaginary Russia wankfest, Russian air defences can't actually tell the difference between an Israeli F-16 and a larger Russian surveillance plane. Errol, your risible puff-pices for Russian 'supremacy' are as laughable as they are tedious. Errol - troll or bot, that is the question.
  3. So the wonderful Russian air defence systems that we are constantly being told are the greatest, can't tell the difference between a Russian reconnaisance plane and a smaller Israeli fighter. It's the Israeli's fault! They outwitted us! Not fair!
  4. People on this site rightly criticise Banks for providing easy credit fueling the House Price boom. As a result of the 2008 financial crisis, banks have been forced to lend more prudently. Bitcoin is risky. A sound rule of investment is to risk only what you can afford to lose. f you are having to borrow on a credit card to buy bitcoin, you cant afford to buy it, so can't afford to lose it. Banks can, and should, decide what they will, and will not, lend money for. That is what banks are supposed to do.
  5. Move a fraction of a coin from a disputed bitcoin address, proving the address is under your control, and thus the coins that are/were in it are/were.
  6. Well I'm not leaving HPC. You don't get rid of me that easily.
  7. I always printed out TV programmes to look at them later. Cost me a fortune in paper.
  8. The election is of course important. But I'm bored with the press coverage of the election already, and most of that so far is in my imagination. Endless election trivia. And I don't even have a TV.
  9. Ah I see. I wouldn't consider the people I miss most as 'extremist' just a little non-PC.
  10. Certain regular posters have gone AWOL the past few weeks. Are they just on holiday or has there been a purge?
  11. He is full of polyunsaturated Omega-3 fatty acids. He is in fact a vast oozing bladder of pure health.
  12. So the Shetlands weren't keen? If thats the case today, The Shetlands might cede from Scotland and re-leave the EU. I bet the Shetlands were p***ed off with mainland Scotland in 1975, locking them into the EC undemocratically against their wishes.
  13. I do get some pleasure hearing that Ms. Rowling realises she p***ed away £1m on a cause she no longer supports.
  14. I'm not a Reading resident BTW. A FOI request might be more revealing after the property transactions have taken place - but then, too late to do much about it. Keep a look out for similar shenanigans in your own local authority areas, folks.
  15. Reading Council has just announced a plan to buy 100 homes ayear in the area for the next 5 years, to let them out. 500 in total. Some will be let out at 'market rents', any profits being used to subsidise the rents on the rest of the properties, which is 'emergency housing'. The reason being given that rental housing is too expensive in the area, and people can't afford to buy in the area. So they willl 'invest' taxpayers money in a rental market that is otherwise likely to fall because of the new BTL taxation regime, and thus prop up house prices as a result of their 'investment'. ****ing muppets - and I bet a few Councillors are BTL landlords to boot.
  16. Cameron has manouvred himself imto an absurd 'negotiating' position. Essentailly, he wants the EU to make concessions or we may vote to leave. Once(/if) we get the concessions, we will be allowed to vote on a Brexit. So we might still leave the EU. So there really is no great incentive for the EU to make the concessions in the first place.
  17. The trick is to sniff lots of flour and convince your wife you are blowing the £££ on coke. Meanwhile squirell the money away in an offshore account to hide it when she eventually divorces you.
  18. The proposals seem to be about tax, not employment rights. Contractors will probably not be extended full employment rights. Contractors want to run their own business and sort out their own pensions, etc., not be passed from one client pension scheme, etc., to another. And employers won't want the hassle either. giving temporary workers employment rights will be an admin nightmare and remove the flexibility clients want and contractors willingly offer. It is going to be a massive drag on the efficiency of businesses, all because of ignorant jealousy of people who run their own companies. HMRC is staffed by government drones who have never run a business or stood on their own two feet professionally. All they know about is taking money off productive people, not earning it in a competitive market. Not everyone wants to be an employee of someone else's business instead of their own. Nor should they be forced to be.
  19. Good point. From my experience, agencies typically take about 15% gross.
  20. Odd really, as Tesco is well ahead of Morrisons at online sales, and also makes greater use of self-service checkouts. its stores are bigger and presumably allow better economies of scale with staffing levels. I would have thought that staffing level versus turnover was lower for Tesco and so a living wage would impact them less.
