The performance issues should now be resolved as the techies have sorted out the clustering issues

Is there a reason why it was changed and is the new version better in any way? Is there a post that explains this already as I must have missed it?

What a disaster. I am not going to waste any more time on here if it stays like this.

I'm starting to think that the site has been infiltrated by some kind of psychological ops department to make it as un user friendly as possible and ultimately drive a wedge through it and kill it off.

You must admit if this is the case the operatives are very good at their job.

Using this site, now, is a terrible unrewarding experience.

I don't see the problem.

What's so "hard to read" about it?

The font is clearer if anything. Much more modern looking.

Took me a minute to find out where to sign in but apart from that I can't see anything to complain about really.

Don't like it at all. Very hard to read, very poor use of space.

The main reasons this is hard to read are:

1. The dark blue line between posts is way too contrasty, diverting attention away from the bit you should really be guided to.

2. The black control buttons are also way too heavy for the colour scheme. Should be much softer, ideally in a pastel blue, grey or green colour.

Apart from that it's great.

If you want to see how this looks with the things I mention changed then you have a couple of options:

1. Use firefox with the firebug plug-in which allows you to dynamically change the stylesheet for the current site

2. Use safari 4 which has this feature built in.
