Guest Bart of Darkness
I must confess that, although I've wanted to see a rate rise for some time, this is indeed a shock. I'll get over it though. It will be interesting the see the effect of this rate rise on sentiment (however large or small it may be). Will this bit it for the rest of the year? I'll stick my neck out and say yes. After actually doing something for a change, the guys at the MPC will probably now need a long lie down, possibly followed by a relaxing holiday somewhere quiet.
