I think it's likely China will try to sell a peace deal. My feeling is Ukraine will push Russia back in the spring. However, I don't see the war ending anytime soon. The Ukraine Civil War will end by negotiation. Putin will conduct those negotiations with the Americans not Zelensky or the European dwarves.
