I'm not sure it is that bad for the consumer overall - no-one was using Toys R Us anyway, that's why they went bust.  The consumer loses a choice - but one they were already choosing not to use.

True......not a very good business then if they can't see what is happening in front of their noses....if they do, can't change enough or quickly enough to accommodate to the wants and needs.;)
