workingpoor
http://news.sky.com/story/1681587/suspected-is-recruiter-held-in-mallorca There are claims IS militants are planning to target European holiday destinations later this year in a similar fashion to last year's beach massacre in Tunisia, which left 30 holidaymakers dead. German newspaper Bild said German intelligence had been told of the plans by their Italian counterparts, who had been informed by a "credible source" in Africa. According to the report, the terrorists plan to pose as beach vendors and detonate bombs hidden under sun loungers, before opening fire with automatic weapons. frozen_out
I'm going to Lanzarote, I'm a bit nervous about it TBH. The Masked Tulip
Years ago in Spain when they had problems with ETA?? I was on holiday and got up early ... just after sunrise and decided to go for a walk only to see the army checking the beach for bombs. Still more chance of being hit by a bus than killed by a terrorist ..... Many years ago, on a very warm summer's evening, I could not sleep and went for a walk on a Gower beach. It was a wonderful evening and I indulged in some madness - I stripped off my clothes and ran naked up and down the beach numerous times whilst shouting and waving my arms in the air. Yep, I was a crazy fecker back then The following morning the beach was closed whilst the UXB boys dealt with an unexploded mine that had been unearthed on the sand. The newspaper quotes a high ranking official: 'It could be a whole new dimension of terror. Holiday beaches cannot be protected.'

The Israelis hung up bags of Pork Fat in the buses, this stopped a lot of the suicide bombings.
