There are claims IS militants are planning to target European holiday destinations later this year in a similar fashion to last year's beach massacre in Tunisia, which left 30 holidaymakers dead.

German newspaper Bild said German intelligence had been told of the plans by their Italian counterparts, who had been informed by a "credible source" in Africa.

According to the report, the terrorists plan to pose as beach vendors and detonate bombs hidden under sun loungers, before opening fire with automatic weapons.

The dramatic arrest comes just days after an ISIS flag and weapons were dug up in Ceuta a Brit holiday hotspot attached to Morocco near the British territory of Gibraltar.

I'm going to Lanzarote, I'm a bit nervous about it TBH. A small group of IS militia would have pretty much no problem wiping everyone on the Island out before a serous response could be mounted.

Surely all the 'Full English Breakfast' cafes would defeat them - don't they melt if they go near a pork banger or a slice of bacon?

Wave your snorker in their face and they will be demanding, and getting, damages from the govt for you offending their religion.

Years ago in Spain when they had problems with ETA?? I was on holiday and got up early ... just after sunrise and decided to go for a walk only to see the army checking the beach for bombs. Still more chance of being hit by a bus than killed by a terrorist .....

Many years ago, on a very warm summer's evening, I could not sleep and went for a walk on a Gower beach. It was a wonderful evening and I indulged in some madness - I stripped off my clothes and ran naked up and down the beach numerous times whilst shouting and waving my arms in the air. Yep, I was a crazy fecker back then

The following morning the beach was closed whilst the UXB boys dealt with an unexploded mine that had been unearthed on the sand.

Wonder what they mean by "Beach Vendors"

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3547216/ISIS-plan-carry-tourist-massacre-using-bombs-buried-sun-beds-assassins-disguised-beach-ice-cream-sellers-warn-Italian-intelligence-chiefs.html

According to BILD the beaches which intelligence chiefs say are definitely targeted include resorts in southern France, the Costa del Sol in Spain and both coasts in Italy.

The newspaper quotes a high ranking official: 'It could be a whole new dimension of terror. Holiday beaches cannot be protected.'

Watch out for little ISIS paper flags on top of sandcastles. Dead giveaway.

I'm wondering how the Remain campaign can spin this into a reason for Britain to stay in the EU!

The Israelis hung up bags of Pork Fat in the buses, this stopped a lot of the suicide bombings.

I think we should all carry packets of Pork Scratchings about our persons, this would become pig shrapnel.

Now Frank Brehany, consumer director of HolidayTravelWatch, has advised Brits to carry out their research on the back of the latest arrest.

He said: News that Daesh supporters apparently plan further atrocities this summer should not come as a surprise to anyone.

In what is fast becoming the new normal in travel, we need to receive each news item as part of a bigger puzzle.

As consumers we should take such news items and investigate ourselves, through other countries foreign travel advisories, news outlets, travel companies, ex-pat forums, travel review websites and keep all of these under review both before you book and after you travel.

Nah.....10,000 miles of coastline and he thinks 500 soldiers, unarmed and ununiformed is going to help.
