MrPin
Escher on the front, and on the back ... oh, it's only got one side. A Mobius bank note! I'm drinking beer from a Klein bottle. The beer is both outside and inside! I like drilling holes in things because the Euler characteristic decreases by two for every hole. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euler_characteristic Topology is as nice as the beer. I did a course on Topology, and Symmetry, in my 3rd year of degree, as it required "no previous knowledge", so I was qualified.

Scunnered
Gonna need a bigger note We could wait for inflation to really take off and then put her on the £10,000,000 note. That would be rather fitting.

Mikhail Liebenstein
I think we do need an engineer again rather than a visual artist. Whilst we have had George Stephenson on £5 and James Watt on the £50, I don't think the contribution of the railway pioneers can be understated. I also generally think that the "wimin" put on our notes are less deserving than the men with the exception of our Sovereign. Plus why doe we have a banker on the £50 alongside James Watt. My options would be: Isambard Kingdom Brunel Sir (Herbert) Nigel Gresley Richard Trevithick Sir Frank Whittle John Logie Baird James Clerk Maxwell Henry Royce I also like Alan Turning, though consider him a mathematician. Of course if Labour had won the election, I am sure we'd have had someone like Martha Lane Fox.
