Who Should Replace Adam Smith On £20 Note?

Recommended Posts

It should be changed to Adam Smith ......um..from Adam Smith.

The man who said....."The people who devote their lives to making money are insane. They live wretched lives as a result."

As true now as it was then!

Not quite original though....

But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.

Sir Thomas Gresham would be somewhat suitable...

As they'd like an artist, though - I suppose Banksy (as he has form in 'creating' £10 notes).

But that is probably out as a) no-one knows what he looks like and B) he is alive.

These problems could, of course, be sorted out fairly easily before the notes go into circulation
