The Masked Tulip
Did she have bad teeth or something? Welsh dentists, the bastards. Nah, she was lovely, Hopefully she still is - unless a morlock kidnapped her on her way home and is now feasting upon her.

happy_renting
I decided to go back on tinder, and instead of my bespectacled clean shaven autistic looking selfie, I tool a couple of selfies when I woke up on sunday morning. So now it's a photo of me in bed, with a 2 week beard and messed up morning hair, pulling a mocking face at the camera. Six matches in 24 hours. Will any of them succumb to my charms*? Only time will tell. * they probably won't 'Matches' sounds ominous. Do the women have messed up hair and beards too?
SNACR
I'd have gone for school uniform, and bunches. Abort, if they seem to have gone too method with a My Little Pony lunchbox though. Almost certainly either a nutter or guaranteed jail sentence.
John51
An awful lot of women get into a mess financially and then look for a guy to bail them out.; That's mostly true but this one was different, debts were to be forever ignored, all cash was to be spent living for today. I came home from work one time to find a 26" TV in the living room. She'd rented it in my name. About 6 months later a guy came to repossess it. One of the rare times she opened the front door as she was expecting her sister. I heard her shout 'Fck off, you're not getting it.'

I think a lot of women need stuff and paid for experiences to get by and occupy their lives, it's a very expensive track to follow. Most men can get by on exercise and information, which happens to be almost free.

I've known men and women with this attitude, the difference I suppose is men generally don't bleed other people dry, just themselves (and even as I type that I'm aware that Mumsnet would disagree, c0cklodgers and all that). The route of it is a lack of intelligence, plain and simple. The inability to consider consequences and think more than one move ahead. I think it can be a blessing when lack of intelligence shows itself this way, no-one with a brain is ever going to be happy with an idiot long term no matter what his or her other qualities. JoeDavola
Most men can get by on exercise and information, which happens to be almost free. That's quite profound actually - when I think of the two things that make me the happiest, it's pretty much exercise and that feeling when you absorb and understand a new bit of information or a new way of thinking. John51
What, you stayed with her for another 6 months after she involved you in her fraud? This was a sink estate in the mid 70s. Think 'Shameless' but more fun. No way she lacked intelligence. Schooling yes but smarts no. Nowadays I think she would be diagnosed as bipolar. She'd worked out that her doctor jacked up (or similar) every day at noon. So she'd make sure her appointments were between 12.15 and 12.45. Before noon and after 1pm he'd be mean with the scrips but get him at the right time and he'd give her whatever pills she wanted. Was all a novelty to me at first but that lifestyle wasn't for me. But a certain type of man will happily spend large to improve their apparent status. Cars are often a particular weakness. The spend to the limit types can be found in both genders. I suspect it's simply two different evolutionary strategies. One spends big without regard for the future, and mostly muddles through unless there is a major disaster when they are wiped out. They are by definition showy, and so attract mates. The other group saves for the rainy day, and probably does OK reproduction wise - but manages to survive/even thrive during the nastier stuff. Welfare of all kinds (including corporate) means the rainy day types are more likely to get shafted nowadays.
JoeDavola
Started talking to attractive girl on tinder. Spent the last three nights talking all evening on it, which is a rarity for me. But last night I apparently said something 'too sleazy' (it wasn't, it was a mildly sexual joke) and I think she's gone quiet on me. Women, eh... Yeah I had a similar situation recently, a few interesting/interested messages exchanged over a short period followed by radio silence. In my case the girl in question was fairly attractive, professional, 31, and had posted a couple of pictures which were clearly of her with her sister and neice and nephew. Her sister was less attractive than her, both in a natural way and also far less made up. I suspect the girl I was talking to has a major mental dilemma at the moment. On the one hand she isn't getting any younger and wants what her sister has, a family life, motherhood and (presumably) a husband. On the other hand she's "the pretty and successful one" and expects a very attractive high-status man, who she get's less capable of attracting with each passing month. Would have been interesting to meet her, but never mind...

Loads of exotic boyfriends over the years. Buuuut she's mental. She has a younger sister who is cute but doesn't have her level of beauty, and she was raging that her sister was not only marrying someone before she was, but had snagged a rich bloke. As a former party/career girl she then found religion and decided she wanted a family. She always had plenty of male attention. That was 3 years ago. She's still single. But a certain type of man will happily spend large to improve their apparent status. Cars are often a particular weakness. I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens to the nauseous and pathetic little car-go cult once driverless cars take over and basically nobody owns a car because it's ultra-cheap to hire them and so convenient not to have to worry any more about fuelling, MOT, service, maintenance, tax, insurance, garaging, accessories bla bla bla. Oh, and also because it'll actually be illegal for humans to drive (much more dangerous than DCs) except maybe on certain enclosed pistes and racetracks licensed for the purpose. Are we going to see a spate of suicides once this "certain type of man" is deprived of its religion?
