Asked what she would do about it : "Put a ban on people buying more than 3 properties!!!!!!!!!!!!"

And what did Portillo, Abbot and Neil keep rabbitting about? Teenage pregnancy and violence! They basically ignored her.

The housing situation explains so much: later marriages, fewer kids, hopeless youth shooting each other on the streets. It's a disgrace and shows that this country is populated by feral adults, tearing the flesh from each others bones to make themselves feel better.

Look at what some European countries have - governments that stay out of ridiculous oil wars, decent housing, less materialism. Can we blame the second world war for this? Did they learn the value of peace and equality following the destruction and upheaval of the war, whilst Britain was relatively sheltered, and emerged with an arrogant swagger as victors?

The PBS radio station here in the USA had segment on a recent finding that Britains youngsters are the most abused and depressed youngsters in Europe.

........It’s official! Britain has the most badly behaved, promiscuous and dangerous youngsters in Europe. That is the general opinion of the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR), a think tank whose recent investigation into British teenage culture worrying concluded that: ‘Commentators fear that British youth is on the verge of mental breakdown, at risk from anti-social behaviour, self-harm, drug and alcohol abuse. These concerns are, to an extent, borne out.’ This news had prompted a flurry of media attention and has caused many to question and hypothesise why exactly our youngsters are so bad.

The problems they refer to apply to young teens through to violent, antisocial twenty-somethings. British grandparents not only want to have the good life - at your expense - they couldnt be bothered to nurture sociable and happy children while they were at it. If you compare the behavior of kids in Holland with those in Britain its clear your parents have taken too much out of the system. The behaviors described above are a 'just dessert' for people to want unpaid for

• health and dental care
  
• final salary pensions
  
• state pensions
  
• escalated house prices
  
• income from buy to let
  
• unsustainable gains off investments during the 80s and 90s which were unknowingly protected by their kids
  
• lower taxes
  
• free education
  

And what do you get? You get to pay for

• private health care plans
  
• private pension scandals
  
• a diminising pension fund which is unsustainable
  
• exhorbitant house prices (or your forced to rent from a BTL)
  
• a flat equities market for 6 years
  
• spiralling taxes
  
• tuition fees
  

In the end you get what you deserve (I hope) so keep up the bad behavior and get your own back in whatever way you can. You must fight the hogs or flee the country if you want a fair future.

A return to serfdom is just fine with them so long as they themselves do not become serfs. Yep it was ok, but I seem to remember Portillo getting onto the subject of money just as Abbot interrupted him. And Portillo pulled quite a random face as she mentioned banning third properties. Very funny! Bit of a farce but I was pretty shot after work to think about it. I didn't think anyone watched that programme except crazed insomniacs like me.

Lily Allen not being able to buy a flat is only correlated with kids being unhappy, i.e. is not the cause. She didn't really seem to grasp that point, completely self obseessed if you ask me.

It's no suprise that our young people are disenchanted. Previous generations had a good idea of the order of things. They would grew up, get work, buy a house, get married and have children but now there is no direction for these youngsters.

I would love to see more practical subjects and skills re-introduced into schools as I believe this is an area that some children are missing out on. Not everyone is academic or interested in IT and this section of society need engaging.

I also wonder what messages the parents are giving out and how they encourage their children to be optimistic about the future.

As for Lily Allen, I don't agree with her view on three houses. One should be enough .

Not being able to buy a flat is a major factor though. Teenagers these days (especially in Anglo Saxon Societies) see more and more wealth on telly through music, football, realty TV than any generation before. They don't see people who get an education or behaving responsibly necessarily getting rich (although an education in itself is 'richer' than the likes of Jade Goody can ever be.) Doesn't justify the attitude of a lot of young people but explains it. You only miss what you know about. Having wealth chucked into your face every where you look while having no stake yourself is depressing.

There is something depressing about having an 'average' job in your own country and effectively having no chance of ever owning a house. A lot of jobs in this country would be ok if housing was cheaper. Earning £30,000 and say paying £200 a month for housing would make that job in my eyes a very good job. NHS etc are all irrelevant if the people can't have decent housing.

As for Dianne Abbot typical New Labour, in order to get you point across lower your voice (much like Hazel Blears) and try and change the tone to convey as much empathy as possible. However don't listen to anyone else and line your own pockets - nothing worse than Champagne Socialism.

Well, can everyone do me a favour and promise to not vote these fokkers (NuLab) in again!

I can't think of anything made better in this country since these came in to power, the way I see it is that the ladder has been pulled up in a number of ways:

• Small businesses - crucified under Labour - want evidence, go to your high street or local shops, franchises at the best, more than likely chain stores owned by the chain stores.

• Education, not only the comprehensive schools getting worse, GCSE's mean nothing now cos they are ten a penny, they never updated the tests so it is taught parrot fashion and any old monkey can get a series of A's on completion. Not only that but of course, further education has become a economic dream for the Labour barstuds, creating so much wealth for their coffers, keeping employment higher (artificially) by sub standard teaching and dishing out pointless certificates and qualifications. Does a painter and decorator really need to do a HND to paint bluddy walls? I think not!

• Mass immigration, on an unprecedented scale, with cultural divides and segregation, nice one, can't see that ending in a rainbow.

• Of course the house price rises and false period of low interest rates and high levels of debt and a culture of acceptance of insolvency...but you all know way too much about that for it to be healthy who out of you lot thought you would ever be interested in politics five years ago? Not me thats for sure, now I am a sad sap watching the BoE moves every month!
