SNACR
I'm thinking, probably the definitive Dickens' film adaptation also, Muppet's Christmas Carol.

ccc
Scrooged. Great film. Is there any other film that's been remade so many times with a decent outcome ? Can't think of one.
developer
I was thinking Die Hard as soon as I saw the thread title but I see you already mentioned it. Bruce Willis movies in general make me think of Christmas, I presume because of the effect Die hard had on me.

knock out johnny
A Christmas Carol (1984) with George C Scott - it doesn't show every year - it is however vastly underrated (probably because it was a made for TV film). This version is almost a horror film with it's portrayal of the ghosts and George C Scott gives a truly nuanced performance. If it's shown I recommend yousee it - a very different feel than the usual versions, but probably closest to the book

cica
I can only repeat the two already mentioned. Muppets Christmas Carol and Trading Places. It Feels like Christmas is a great song. Eddie Murphy was a hell of a comedy actor back then. Eyes Wide Shut is a Christmas film.
The Masked Tulip
It's 'A Wonderful Life', 'Love Actually' and, thanks for reminding me, 'Trading Places'. But 'White Christmas' would have been there wouldn't it. I watched a well known blockbuster on the TV a few days ago and, playing in the background throughout, was that it was Christmas and the final scene was 'Christmassey' but, at the mo, I can't recall the film. The Masked Tulip
I am somewhat partial to the musical version of 'A Christmas Carol' - mainly because I have a thing for Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jane Krakowski.
