This is because the most successful media people engage with their audience - stare into the camera. If you have Sanapaku - you engage with your audience without even trying! There was a TV advert doing the rounds with a blonde chef - ah I've found it. Not quite Sanapaku, but his focus is 95% on the camera, and his blinking interval is very low. Look into my eyes. Stardom awaits! ^This one - even though the screen grab, is very small - the Sanpaku eyes have a very far reach to you. That's the other benefit apart from audience engagement - long range capture.
