Bloo Loo
Wrong guess: Pro-Russian "Opposition bloc" has not recieved in the last month parliment elections more than 35% in the East. It was the Putler's expectation that Ukrainians will welcome Russian army with flowers. He got mistaken ... http://www.kyivpost.com/content/ukraine/opposition-bloc-outperforms-forecasts-expected-to-be-fourth-largest-party-369650.html In the new parliament the Opposition Bloc will be a strong voice for eastern Ukraine. It finished first in five eastern Ukrainian oblasts. Support was strongest for the party in Donetsk Oblast where they received 37.8 percent of the party vote and nearly 34 percent in Luhansk Oblast and 32.8 percent Kharkiv Oblast. Isnt UKIP the 4th largest party in the UK...1 seat.
vin rouge
This is part of a co-ordinated effort to put Putin under pressure. The UK is not acting alone : http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-australia-30067612 And yes, further sanctions would cause Russia significant issues. Their economy is blowing up. oracle
you've read too much bbc history. How Sir Winston Churchill Starved 4 Million Indians http://www.vijayvaani.com/ArticleDisplay.aspx?aid=1396 Add the slaughter of the Indian mutiny, the Irish potato famine, the 25,000 dead women and children in concentration camps in the boer war. irish potato famine..let's try that one because that involves my family.: ever since 1500's rome was trying to use ireland as a staging point to get rid of the reformation in england...they were prepared to use proxies before the main invasion. ...not dissimilar at all to using the muslims as pawans to create unrest in england today before launching a french "stabilisation" mission. had they been successful we would have probably not fared much better than germany in the 30 years war( that wiped out half the country)...and then they had hitler to deal with(who WAS a papal agent)..that is why we had to fight, it's also why bits of ireland and scotland were in collusion with him(same as now) therfore cromwell ordered the obliteration of an entire town(drogheda)...as a message to rome. ..that if you try this tactic we will take out every man, woman, child and family pet from your enclaves..those of you who still exist we will starve off the land and hunt down. so no playing victim here, it was a reprisal from an initial act of aggression. whether you like it or not, both rome and radical islam have this perception that theirs is the only way,and anybody who disagrees with them should have their property confiscated(jizya) and be serfs, so are either second class citizens or to be executed. that's why our brothers across the pond left the old world. it is rather difficult to reason or engage in debate with those who are utterly convinced they are right. they either have to be exposed by facts and the publication of them, or physically beaten to a pulp. being exposed by facts and distribution of knowledge is actually more humiliating to them, especially if they have been covering up stuff to make their point look valid. hence the present clamour to "regulate" the internet etc from all dissenting opinion...it's just a modern day printing press, that's all. what are they scared of??...we gonna print the bible on it????...ooops, done that already! Without Stalin oil Hitler would not be able to attack Western Europe: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Germany%E2%80%93Soviet_Union_relations_before_1941#Pact_and_commercial_deal_signings Germany and the Soviet Union entered an intricate trade pact on February 11, 1940 that was over four times larger than the one the two countries had signed in August 1939.[116] The trade pact helped Germany to surmount a British blockade of Germany.[116] In the first year, Germany received one million tons of cereals, half a million tons of wheat, 900,000 tons of oil, 100,000 tons of cotton, 500,000 tons of phosphates and considerable amounts of other vital raw materials, along with the transit of one million tons of soybeans from Manchuria. These and other supplies were being transported through Soviet and occupied Polish territories, and this allowed Nazi Germany to circumvent the British naval blockade.[116] The Soviets were to receive a naval cruiser, the plans to the battleship Bismarck, heavy naval guns, other naval gear and thirty of Germany's latest warplanes, including the Me-109 fighter, Me-110 fighter and Ju-88 bomber.[116] The Soviets would also receive oil and electric equipment, locomotives, turbines, generators, diesel engines, ships, machine tools and samples of Germany artillery, tanks, explosives, chemical-warfare equipment and other items.[116] The Soviets also helped Germany to avoid British naval blockades by providing a submarine base, Basis Nord, in the northern Soviet Union near Murmansk.[117] This also provided a refueling and maintenance location, and a takeoff point for raids and attacks on shipping.[117] Edited November 16, 2014 by Damik

Damik
And the West's economy isn't? Freedom does not come for free. And it is much cheaper and safer to stop dictators like Putin now than later ... http://www.vox.com/2014/10/1/6880329/russia-baltic-threats-ukraine-estonia A senior Russian Foreign Ministry official says that Moscow has a responsibility to protect ethnic Russian citizens of other countries, "regardless of where they live," and that "we will do everything possible to defend the rights and interests" of ethnic Russian minorities in the neighboring Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. The comments came from Anatoly Makarov, the director of the Foreign Ministry's Department for Interaction with Compatriots Abroad. He was speaking to the Russian outlet RuBaltic, as translated by Paul Goble. "We are carrying out a line so that Russian compatriots regardless of where they live are guaranteed all rights and freedoms ... and have the opportunity to preserve the culture and traditions of their historical Motherland," Makarov said, explicitly extending this to the million-plus ethnic Russians who are citizens of Baltic countries. Democracy and freedoms are not about elections, but about change of people in power and strong opposition in Parliament double checking the Government party 24/7. If all your opposition is in prison or dead and you control all TV, radio, newspapers and Internet like in Russia you can not be surprised you win elections. Between 1945 and 1990 in every Warsaw pact country Soviets always got 90% in parliment. Now they get 5% max. Surprise, surprise. Hitler was also very popular till about 1943. As all opposition was in concentration camps. A mental exercise for you? Which country is actually democratic: Ukraine elections 2014: 21.82% (President) 22.12% (PM) 10.97% 9.43% (Pro Russians) 7.44% 5.68% Russian elections 2014: 63.64% (Putin) 17.18% (Communists) 7.94% 6.22% 110,000,000 Russians and all of them with single voice require the single man to govern them from 1999 till he drops dead. And tell us the repercussions of the bankers' grip on The Treaty of Versailles. Pretty irrelevant 'what about isms'. Western Europe wasn't left for Hitler and Stalin and today Eastern Europe won't be abandoned and left for Putin to pick over. Assuming you are in Western Europe, you should be grateful that someone chose at least twice to interfere a very long way from their own borders. The majority of those in East Ukraine are not ethnic Russians, so nor is there any reason to 'guess' it would be their wish to be picked over either.
