Errol
Anyone who thinks ukip wouldn't feck up the country is deluded. That's not the point. The point is they couldn't do any worse than the idiots we already have in charge so why not let them have a go?
Executive Sadman
Anyone who thinks ukip wouldn't feck up the country is deluded. We have no choice but slavery or revolution. not much left to feck up really.
Executive Sadman
Crap policy. Just #banbankbailouts #banHTB #bringbackcapitalism I always wondered if Godfrey Bloom (who seemed to know just how the banking system works...or rather thieves) and Farage saw eye to eye on the banking system. Im not exactly sure what farages views are. Im sure at various times he's said no to bailout but also we had to bail them out because they are a net contributor in taxes. I would hope he really doesn't believe the latter.

SE10
Crap policy. Just #banbankbailouts #banHTB #bringbackcapitalism Voting has always been about choosing the least crap though, rather than choosing the good. I've not heard any other party leader acknowledge high house prices are a problem, so for now, ukip seem to be the least crap.
EUBanana
I'd rather see planning reform than more smothering regs. Even UKIP are saying it now, christ. At least he groks that there's a problem, better than the Tories.
byron78
He needs to do something about their housing minister else it's just hot air.
Bruce Banner
He needs to do something about their housing minister else it's just hot air. Housing ministers don't make policy, they follow general policy directions from the PM. UKIP have my vote anyway, but it's good to see Farage addressing housing issues. silver surfer
That's not the point. The point is they couldn't do any worse than the idiots we already have in charge so why not let them have a go? Then why not let Eva Peron have a go, or the Khmer Rouge, or Boris Yeltsin? Bruce Banner
Then why not let Eva Peron have a go, or the Khmer Rouge, or Boris Yeltsin? Because UKIP is not remotely like the above.
subspace
Won't be long till Osbore and Commie-Cameron announce the same policy. Doubt it they won't want to upset their old Etonian foreign friends. Probably unenforceable anyway as if foreigners can't buy property directly they can always do it via a company. This is how most people get around laws in other countries that restrict foreign ownership of property.

little fish
Hes a politician. Nuff said. Don't get me started on their housing spokesman... Andrew Charalambous’s company, Woodlands Estates Limited, received £745,315 in housing benefit cash for his tenants through Haringey Council in north London. Nuff said. byron78
Housing ministers don't make policy, they follow general policy directions from the PM. UKIP have my vote anyway, but it's good to see Farage addressing housing issues. UKIP aren't bright enough to comprehend voters who think housing is a major issue are understandably put off by a BTL housing-benefit gobbling slum landlord as their housing minister. That alone worries me.Ministers might not make policy, but you can tell quite a lot about a party's policies by the ministers they appoint. FallingAwake
Anyone who thinks ukip wouldn't feck up the country is deluded. We have no choice but slavery or revolution. snowflux
Maybe, but until they do, why not at least give them the benefit of the doubt? Yes, in times of economic hardship and civil discontent, what could possibly go wrong with putting a nationalistic xenophobe in charge of the country? It's not as if any European country has done such a thing before now.
