Panda Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 But this man is talking the same rhyme, the same crap, the same tale, democracy has or is finished? On the TV now, sacrifice a joke?
Limpet Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 But this man is talking the same rhyme, the same crap, the same tale, democracy has or is finished? On the TV now, sacrifice a joke? He`s flinging ******** with a chrome plated shovel What a nob
HovelinHove Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Him Cameron, Brown Blair, Sarkosy, Merkel...all a bunch of fu(king corporate sponsored stooges. Anyone who thinks we or the yanks live in a true democracy are severely deluded.
lotus eater Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Him Cameron, Brown Blair, Sarkosy, Merkel...all a bunch of fu(king corporate sponsored stooges. Anyone who thinks we or the yanks live in a true democracy are severely deluded. A typical measured, informed comment from a local inhabitant. I sometimes wonder why I left London to live back in enlightened Hove...too many drugs have addled the locals' thinking processes
Take Me Back To London! Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 This guy's ticket is CHANGE - WE CAN BELIEVE IN and the first thing he gets involved in, there is no change, just the same old shite.
HovelinHove Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 A typical measured, informed comment from a local inhabitant. I sometimes wonder why I left London to live back in enlightened Hove...too many drugs have addled the locals' thinking processes Seeing as you are obviously someone who believes they are informed or enlightened, instead of lame attempts at insulting people, why don't you provide a logical rebuttal of my opinion...probably because you don't have any of your own, your head is full of stuff you've borrowed from whichever newspaper your social group reads...or worse still the BBC. More to the point, what are you doing on this site? From what I have read I'd guess that a majority of people who come here have similar views about the condition of Western democracy. Please go back to London if you feel Hove is now beneath you, actually don't, I spend a lot of time in London...go somewhere else where pompous, self-important, pretentious tw@ts gather together and stroke their impotent intellects.
Patfig Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Well he does have something in common with Gordon then......... they are both Brown
fallingmarket Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 But this man is talking the same rhyme, the same crap, the same tale, democracy has or is finished? On the TV now, sacrifice a joke? Did i hear him say the taxpayer may even profit from all the toxic shite there going to buy up?
Y-QUERK Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 This guy's ticket is CHANGE - WE CAN BELIEVE IN and the first thing he gets involved in, there is no change, just the same old shite. He is going to re-arrange the desk at the oval office.
ralphmalph Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 When Obama The Messiah kept saying "Change we can beleive in" he always forgot to say the second sentance. "Well that means none then."
uncle rogi Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 some of us saw this coming a long time ago...real "crisis" (cuban missile stylee) coming soon.. the housing bubble has merely served as proxy for the dollar bubble, the "crisis" will simply be cover for the massive inflation/default collapse of the petrodollar coming in summer 2009. dont take my word for it though how about vice president elect joe biden...
thecrashingisles Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Him Cameron, Brown Blair, Sarkosy, Merkel...all a bunch of fu(king corporate sponsored stooges. Anyone who thinks we or the yanks live in a true democracy are severely deluded. It's very unfair to include Merkel with that company? She is a more serious person with a much greater Hinterland than any of the others.
tahoma Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 The inauguration should be good. Seriously, I reckon it's going to be embarrassingly triumphant.
Flatdog Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Well he does have something in common with Gordon then......... they are both Brown I like it
SarahBell Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Him Cameron, Brown Blair, Sarkosy, Merkel...all a bunch of fu(king corporate sponsored stooges. Anyone who thinks we or the yanks live in a true democracy are severely deluded. Erm it's a republic isn't it? http://www.devvy.com/pdf/larosa/larosa_dem...or_republic.pdf
bear-curious Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 He`s flinging ******** with a chrome plated shovel Well, fair play to him I guess, they're all on the same treadmill of utter cynicism anyway. At least we can believe in change from the sheer illiteracy of what went before. On that note, though, the single best line out of the whole Election (even if you didn't much like the candidate) was HRC's "you campaign in poetry but govern in prose". I'm a-feared Obama is going to permanently stick in 'poetic' register, which is just going to get more third rate and indigestible as time goes on. Either that or he'll sort his sh!t out big-time after his much heralded First Big Test.
Grime- skint wouldbe ftb Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Im concerned that the lack of belief here demonstrates that the BBC think-o-matic machine is losing its edge. Doesnt matter if he's a stooge, a mouthpiece, a phoney... he's "black" so everything's just fabulous. Its anti-white racism, plain and simple.
Errol Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 What did everyone expect? I see Obama as a Blair figure (i.e. all spin and no substance). He might just as well play the 'Things can only get better' track in the background.
bear-curious Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 I'm looking forward to the long years after where all fails and Hope is extinguished and Despair lays waste to the kingdom. Yeah baby. From King of Camelot to the Fisher King. It's all part of the cycle, dontja know.
bear-curious Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Its anti-white racism, plain and simple. It's anti-Stupid White Men selection behaviour. Which is an altogether different thing.
LuckyOne Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 I want effective change that I can see ... Hope in and of iteslf and "yes we can" is completely irrelevant .....
Bloo Loo Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 what did anyone expect from a politician. They THINK they are in charge. They are at the helm, but its as effective as the rudder on the titanic. They signal change, but the system is set and powering on.
50%deposit Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Obama just reminds me of a Call Center Manager. FOS.
Guest mattsta1964 Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Obama is a skilled orator. That's it really There's nothing else to say Not enough to save the dollar is it?
