Daz
http://www.forexfactory.com/calendar.php -1.4% MoM thanks forgot about Forex, a bit different from predicted +0.2%
MrFlibble
http://www.forexfactory.com/calendar.php -1.4% MoM Hopefully some media interest in this will encourage the next leg down. If these numbers are to become the norm then they need to move the release time up to lunchtime so we can have a tipple to celebrate. 8am is a little too early for me I'm afraid
Georgia O'Keeffe
http://www.forexfactory.com/calendar.php -1.4% MoM Nothing to see here, please disperse, royal wedding would have put a dampener on house buyers as they eyed up the possibility of buying Buck Pal, with Kate being a commoner the canny forward looking property investor would figure Wills might be looking to sell and move to Rotherham
ScrewsNutsandBolts
Monday morning just got a whole lot better! Yeap... for me the saving at my budget will pay for around 6 months of rent. Sorry... I didn't mean that... I remember now that renting is dead money

mattyfc
http://www.lloydsbankinggroup.com/media/word/HPI/2011/HousePriceIndexApril2011.doc Downward trend continues. Quarterly seems to be down 1.2%, relatively slow falls continue. No doubt until the price / earnings ratio comes back in to line. Only problem is this will discourage IR rises. Makes next month's more interesting as these falls have typically been followed by a bounce the next month.
Pent Up
Annual change -3.7%  Quarterly change -1.2%  Monthly change -1.4%  Average Price £160,395 Nice http://www.lloydsbankinggroup.com/media/word/HPI/2011/HousePriceIndexApril2011.doc Edited May 9, 2011 by Pent Up
scottbeard
I like the way the Lloyds spokesman describes this as "a trend of "modest decline"". -1.4% MoM is equivalent to an annualised fall of around 15.6%. A bit like the way the Nationwide's negative numbers are signs of a market "stagnating"
scottbeard
Only problem is this will discourage IR rises. Although if prices are falling anyway, you don't really need an IR rise...
ScrewsNutsandBolts
It's found it's way onto the BBC website... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-13331442 The lender, now part of Lloyds Banking Group, said the latest figures showed that property values were continuing a trend of "modest decline".
