anonguest
Is it just me, or do there seem to be a stupid number of pointless photos of kitchen taps, radiators, etc ??? Surely a house of this calibre must have sufficiently good features to include a few pics of the bedrooms, etc ??? I mean, with things for EAs supposedly very quiet at the moment, you would have thought a bit more effort would have gone into trying to seel this house??!! http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sa...&radius=0.

LuckyOne
They are trying to distract potential buyers from realizing that it is a small box close to the railway line and a busy A road and hoping that some nice taps and radiators are enough to overcome these obvious flaws ?? ScaredEitherWay
If you flick from the kitchen: http://media.rightmove.co.uk/6k/5056/5056_...IMG_00_0002.JPG to the living room: http://media.rightmove.co.uk/6k/5056/5056_...IMG_04_0001.JPG They look like two different places. tahoma
I'd pay 450k based on the quality of the taps, definately. No you won't. I've just bought it. I was going to wait until 2012 for my looks-like-an-extended-starter-home dream mansion, but this is unmissable. I am also partial to period houses that have been decorated as if they are flats. 200p
Well the owner started renovating in 2005 the bathroom, 2006 the kitchen, 2007 the diner, but ran out of credit in 2009 for the lounge.

It's like "Here's a shiny modern kitchen .... and here's my gran's council flat" says a lot about the modern culture of spending money on 'appearances' and not 'substance' IMHO. I know more than a few friends/families that have spent VAST sums doing up their Kitchens at the expense of other parts of their homes. Ulfar
If you flick from the kitchen: http://media.rightmove.co.uk/6k/5056/5056_...IMG_00_0002.JPGto the living room: http://media.rightmove.co.uk/6k/5056/5056_...IMG_04_0001.JPG They look like two different places. It's like "Here's a shiny modern kitchen .... and here's my gran's council flat" I noticed this as well and then the reason dawned. The kitchen/breakfast room have no windows and hence no natural light. So where are these rooms in the cellar ?
bomberbrown
Looks more like a hotel foyer than a living room.
shakenvac
Looks more like a hotel foyer than a living room. I always have a wry smile when advertising a million quid house, EAs think to point out "telephone point in the hall" - yep, that's saved me about a tenner - well worth a mill. Wonder if guests can't help stealing their towels.
Guest sillybear2
Anyone will tell you that funky sink adds £100k, at least.
Jason
I'm surprised how many people value the photos. When I view rightmove, the floor plan (with room sizes) and location come first, followed with the photos. I see straight through the decor, as that's something I can do myself. MrB
Theoritically: The land costs about £150,000 The house costs about £100,000 According to me, that means the taps must be worth £450,000 - 150,000 - 100,000 =£200,000 Its a bit like the marxist development of labour theory of value housing theory of taps
The Masked Tulip
I look for the photos which aren't there. For example, there was a 650K house for sale in Swansea which did not show a photo of the bathroom. Looking at the room dimensions I was staggered to see the bathroom was tiny. So best to check what EAs do not show/list.
