  1. In office today Landlord 1 - Have you herd interest rates are going up Landlord 2 - Thats ok im on a fixed rate Landlord 1 - Your tennent doesn't know that , tell them your rates went up so you need to increase the rent Wankers
  2. I can tell you what will happen , as your brought new and there is a saturation of newbuilds it will be worth less than what you paid .That may a good thing however as trying to sell it on without a new owner having access to 40% from the government might prove tricky .

Can see this happening in Luton , council is approving more and more 1/2 bed apartment blocks far in excess of demand blocks already completed and filling rightmove with to let adverts ( reductions coming thick and fast) Another 401 apartments are due to be approved this week - council being bunged £1.5 mil in lui of no affordable housing provision on the development ...

  9. Worm might have turned here in Luton , seeing alot of reductions coming through now 2 bed flats with up to 30k knocked off the price
  10. Not what I am seeing in Luton a look on rightmove shows some pretty hefty drops 200k redunced to 170k .I posted in another thread how a new development has slashed 25k off the price within weeks of the first listing ..so god knows where Nationwide are getting its figures from

  12. The prices in nearby Rushden have gone insane also , especially considering it#s a decent commute to a train station or and large employment area's

  18. Has been happening long before Brexit , I work for one the big 4 accountancy firms and in the last 6 years they have gutted UK based IT roles to India and EE.

  20. Hitchin is expensive and a fair bit more on the train than St Albans also the St Albans line you can go as far as Croydon , the Hitchin line you have to change at Kings Cross

Also shows that although this is for FTB the extra money they have will in turn help the sellers pay for the home they want to move to ...
