Tim M
What's your opinion? Definitely keep it. It's the first thing I look at when I come to the site and find it incredibly valuable.
Mushroom
I voted no but really I'd just like the site speed back to what it was, Ticker or not. Btw, anyone who finds it slower tending to read and or post less? Edited May 16, 2006 by Mushroom
Guest Winners and Losers
What will everyone do? Race out and get 8mb broadband, or give up?
Guest wrongmove
I voted no, but it took me 3 attempts to click it as the ticker loaded !

teddyboy
I have 8mb so not realy had a problem. Maybe the ticker needs to be enhanced as it does seem to slow down the site. If it was made as a pop-up in a new window would that improve the speed? TB
Guest Bart of Darkness
Get rid of it.

Battenberg
What will everyone do? Race out and get 8mb broadband, or give up? I thought it was NTHELL playing up again and had even looked into upgrading over the last few days. Didn't realise it was effecting others. I've not paid any attention to it and just head straight for the forum. I could happily live without it.
Pent Vaer
Crashes my browser (konqueror) regularly, taking all my tabs down with it. Pent
Catch22
Definitely keep it. It's the first thing I look at when I come to the site and find it incredibly valuable. I bet you are talking about the actual news articles feature on the Homepage, that is excellent. But we are voting on the usless scrolling news ticker at the top of the the webpage page. I certainly find page loading to be alot slower since they introduced it [i'm using bog standard broadband]
Guest Winners and Losers
Now that I know its not just me, it is irritating me beyond belief. TAKE IT OFF! This poll was a great idea.
r thritis
Please get rid of it - there is an annoying freeze on every page you visit, while it loads. I'll go to the news blog for news. Edited May 16, 2006 by r thritis
wsn03
Edit: sorry I voted to keep it, thought you meant the news links on the front page Edited May 16, 2006 by wsn03
