  1. If logic prevailed and the madness of never ending cheap credit is really at an end, people cannot lie on mortgage applications and so forth then the only way is down, It can be depressing looking at prices and thinking "But I dont want to play this game of debt mountain madness", It really is about waiting, I am willing to wait a couple of years to see how it pans out. (Although I am in a great position to do so), Just save and save my friend. Some people will make a mint but some people will be saddled with big debts for years and years, In reality we havent even started, denial takes a long time to break especially in the stubborn paper wealth housing market.
  2. Thats more like it!!!!! I watch this market too and from my experience of Rightmove and checking prices in various places etc, I can confirm that hardly anything is selling at all, there are also many developer bought houses (old peoples former homes that have died etc) that have been stripped and done up which were on sale that are now up for rent as they wont sell. There is an endemic of this type of behaviour round here, I always said when I bought my first home I would buy one that needed doing up, I will be lucky if there are any homes left that dont have the decor stamp of a builder property developer. It does make me angry though when I see houses that were £25k 6 years ago which are now £95k (Including the "I wont accept a penny less" mentality) Hang in there, Patience is the key and we could be waiting some time, denial is in abundance round these parts.
  3. You went to a "Dinner Party" in the Holme Valley?
  4. I think people are missing the tone of the OP, I think the OP was venting because he has been prudent and is now going to be paying (like us all) for the mewsters and debt junkies.
  5. Yeah it was on here somewhere. Hope your still keeping up the good fight FP, I would say you are missed round here.
  6. Disgraceful, I was shouting at teh TV, He didn't even attempt to answer the question. McFall is a twunt of the highest order.
  7. How many dreamers with no little to no deposit are out there dipping their toes in the market desperate to buy with not a chance in hell, still hoping that we might be returning to a time when their "friends" bought a place with a hundred per cent mortgage. Demand yes, There is always demand, as said a million times. Realisation of that demand = No chance for many FTBs, Dont forget we live in an "on tick" society, most FTBs wont even know how to save. BTW: I demand servicing by Rachel Stevens, So if your trolling Rachel, I DEMAND it.
  8. Do you p!ss all over your feet when you wake up and go to the loo in the morning.
  9. I think it was RB who championed this idea, However I think it is irrelevant as there is going to be no stopping this crash. The sheeple* dont have a choice. * Sorry I have offended anyone with the term "Sheeple"
  10. Too true, I bought a real vintage 51 Fender Nocaster for cheap about 4 years ago and it is worth twice what I paid for it now. Was going to sell it and add it to the deposit but it smells/plays/looks so good.
  11. I always thought that Lilly Allen looked like an oompa loompa. Oompa Loompa Doo Ba Di Day! I would quite simply sh!t myself if I found her at the foot of my bed.
  12. I hear Steve McQueen is dead too, I had better put that Great Escape DVD away too man.
  13. Any Hypermania regarding House Prices should be banned, It has brought this country to it's knees and we have not even started with the bad stuff yet. Yet these smug EA vested Interest b@st@rds just keep on scaring the sh!t out of people into buying. They make me truely sick. To some people a house is a home, not a vehicle of fast and easy money, I would stick hot pokers up there @rses. WORD.
  14. A Retard and a Spaz in one post, Ouch! Better watch out the HPC police are coming for you.
  15. When builders realise the gravy train and Brand New 4x4 Pick up trucks are not a given they might start working for less. It is all swings and roundabouts, If house prices go up materials and labour go up, If they go down labour and materials depress so they can compete. I have a guitar that was valued at $20,000 2 years ago it is now valued at $15,000 because demand has fallen of a cliff. Original parts to replace ones on it should they need it or get broken have also fallen in price. Boom we have a bust.
