bumble bee
It's more like sanctimoniousness ..., the sanctions are cheap energy hari-kari German living standards plummeted after Russia invaded Ukraine Energy price shocks had huge knock-on effect, with real wages falling further in 2022 than in any year since 1950, says report. The energy shock caused by Russiaās invasion of Ukraine has led to the biggest collapse in German living standards since the second world war and a downturn in economic output comparable to the 2008 financial crisis, a stark assessment has found. Isabella Weber said: āIn an age of conflict, climate and geopolitical crisis the rise of the AfD is a wake-up call. The collapse in living standards experienced by Germans is unprecedented since world war two. While it is true that the factors that fuelled the rise of the AfD go beyond economics, it is also impossible to ignore how this unprecedented slump in German living went hand-in-hand with the rising popularity of the far right.ā The economy shrank by 0.3% in the final three months of 2023 and is expected to contract again in the first quarter of 2024. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2024/mar/18/german-living-standards-plummeted-after-russia-invaded-ukraine-say-economists

Or more like return to Boris Yeltsin's days? But for all your ignorance you are just being forgiven,Ā if you are not possessing up-to-date knowledge,Ā and you haven't seen yet Putin's landslide victory in Russia's presidential vote. No Rolly You have a much better idea what it will look like than me being so close to the current regime. You can see the likely breakdowns and regional factions. Although you are very closely linked to this regime you can see the way the wind is blowing even if you could not admit anything as I understand your life could be on the line. The end result may not be what anyone in the west wants and it may end up very messy indeed and it is very unlikely we will ever see anything close to "democracy" as we perceive it in the west. I don't think anything will be clear cut and the Russia of tomorrow could be a very wild and unlawful place, even more so than the government sponsored violence and suppression we see today. One thing is for sure the borders and regions will change dramatically of the next decade. I will be interested to see what happens in Belgorod and Kursk regions over the coming year or two as this is where I think the Kremlin will find its main headache. There are so many questions and who is/will continue to take up this particular fight and what is their motivation. It seems the Ukrainians have made it clear they don't want to be taken over by Russia as the special operation continues. It is uncertain if Belarus will want to be taken back into Russian control, I think the current leadership wants it but will the people allow it? bumble bee
The UK's international reputation plummets as Britain's military aid to Ukraine is being dwarfed Following Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 the UK became Europe's biggest backer of Ukraine, led by then Prime Minister Boris Johnson. However, two years on, Germany is donating twice as much military aid as the UK. 'UK aid allocations have plateaued at below ā¬5 billion since mid-2023.' BritainĀ is being cut adrift by European allies after failing to provide enough military aid and political support to Ukraine. Meanwhile, the shocking drop-off in UK support for Ukraine is borne out in academic analysis. 'The Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Sweden and Norway) and Germany are the two most important donors in terms of allocated military aid. 'They have provided a total value of ā¬9.12 billion (Scandinavia) and ā¬9.36 billion (Germany). The UK's international reputation has plummeted since 2022. The Ukrainians are disappointed with Britain's stance at the moment. Germany has also told the UK it has to do more. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13221075/Britains-military-aid-Ukraine-dwarfed-Germany.html
