Si1
With a htb isa, can you top up your deposit money with money from outside the htb ISA wrapper. Or does your whole deposit have to come from the htb ISA?
Lavalas
Yeah you can combine it with other money you have saved and you don't have to save for the full term in order to get a bonus, you'd just the bonus accrued so far.
Si1
And if you've already paid into a cash ISA this year you can't pay into a htb ISA until next tax year?
MARTINX9
And if you've already paid into a cash ISA this year you can't pay into a htb ISA until next tax year? Unless you invest with Nationwide, Aldermore, Natwest or Newcastle BS - where you can invest in a HTB Isa and a cash isa (potentially several at Nationwide) up to the limts (£15,240 in total or £1k initial lump sum and £200 a month for the HTB component)
jiltedjen
I went with halifax, but as it turns out the GF has been paying into a joke interest ISA this year halifax won't let her open one until April, of course they didn't tell her to go to another bank. So I'm sending her to nationwide to transfer her ISA and open a HTB ISA also. I had a slight fear we would loose £200 to another couple who managed to open in december. Ash4781
recent advert I was watching it thinking is this for real? Conservatives. Saying that I am starting to see in my town a number of multi-storey offices being converted to residential flats. So your new home might be your old sub divided office and palmed off with a big HTB backed by HM Government.
