  1. 1984 moment can they force people to believe they can beat covid and eliminate it? Zero covid is clearly an impossible goal. You do wonder wtf they are thinking to try and impose it.
  2. Data could easily be skewed with high value mortgages, typical I'd take with a pinch of salt.
  3. Volcker exported US inflation and caused the debt crisis in the developing nations that had borrowed in dollars. The US Dollar is still the global currency. The Fed is hoping for a repeat.
  4. https://www.theguardian.com/news/2015/feb/04/welcome-to-the-most-corrupt-nation-in-europe-ukraine I'm not talking about selling HIMARS to criminals. I'm talking about the historic corruption that's been there for years prior to the war.
  5. This could be a nasty impact on those paying child maintenance as those payments are CPI linked.
  6. I was surprised we didn't get the 2nd vote to ensure this time we voted correctly. The EU is heading for the cliff and increasing nationalism as the populace reacts against it. Allowing Greece to cook the books for euro entry demonstrates the project was a dead man walking. The EU is in dire need of an overhaul, but that won't happen.
  7. Just the tip of the iceberg. And govt plans always come in on budget.
  8. Total panic spreading already mass bailout plans that no one can afford cometh.
  9. How about limiting mortgage borrowing to 3.5x one wage and 1.5x the partners. Too radical an idea? I hope there are going to be imaginative plans to give money to those who've paid off thier mortgages too. Why should only those with unaffordable mortgages get help? However I'd like my imaginative help in gold soverigns none of that paper fiat crap please.
  10. https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/one-englands-largest-solar-farms-goes-bust-after-borrowing-ps655-million Well what could go wrong, the sun always shines and I'm sure the economics of the solar panels guaranteed the revenue to pay back the debt..... How could this possibly fail. I'm sure whoever buys this will be rolling in money whilst the council taxpayers get the loss.
