So far it's only clueless naive FTBers { children } going up to the mortgage plate and getting slautered :(

It's a bit like watching a slow motion car crash.

"i'm putting all my life savings, and the folks have lent me shit loads,

so i can buy this 2 bedroom flat in london"

This is going to be yet another poorly researched piece of crud

'a generation priced out forever'

NO.

A generation priced out at the moment

OMFG! That woman in St. Leonards who just bought and has £35 left over after mortgage and bills!

£35 to live on

I felt so sorry for her - the place was an absolute dump. She didn't even have a cooker or anything. Just a microwave and a toastie maker to prepare food.

Is it really worth it just to own a house?

Many people on here say that 'A recession won't be pretty'

No it won't

but whatever it takes to wipe out f***ing investors.

I am SOOO going to rejoice when those **** get hoisted by their own petard.

£35 per week and no cooker! Seemed like a decent person who had tried to save but just saw prices rise. These are the people I'll really feel for when it crashes.

I live on the same road as the flat in Brockley - £275000 for a 2 bed flat? We pay £900pm rent for a much bigger 3 bed flat. With no maintenance. Go figure.

Yes but look at the buyer Malcom clearly a naturally born pr1ck who tries to sound like he knows what he's talking about , 270k for pure sh1t  anyone told this fool that he's got to give 3% to Gordon .

wage growth where? In NI average wages in South Down or North Antrim are 16k full time. In call centres 13k full time. Yet houses average 240k.

Sorry, not being a bull. What I meant was that if you look at retail prices compared to housing it basically always goes up (defying gravity) but compared to wages the ratio goes up and down - which should make people pause for thought.

£35 to live on

I'd be *amazed* if anyone manages that for more than a month. I'm living with the parents and my outgoings are £35/week when I don't do anything but eat and go to work. Sooner or later you'd need to buy something like new shoes, or pay your electricity bill.

I feel really sorry for all these young people; they're so desperate.
