thecrashingisles
Ahhh but it's an isolated attack, not representative, he's a good boy really, it's all the Wests fault etc...... We really need a code of conduct so that Westerners know how to behave to avoid provoking this kind of thing.

Bossybabe
No wonder M&S sales are down. Still selling thermal vests. Missed opportunity. If Kim Jong-un has his way, they'll soon have to sell thermonuclear vests.

happy_renting
It wasn't a real suicide vest, so presumably he was going to fake his own suicide.
happy_renting
Cracking comments, people have woken up. I am disappointed that we have not had a comment from British astronaut Tim Peake. The BBC are really tardy these days.
workingpoor
The prosecutors office revealed that a mobile phone and a sheet of paper marked with an Islamic State flag and claim of responsibility in Arabic was found on the man. The attack happened a year to the day after the deadly terror attack on the offices of the Charlie Hebdo magazine, and at around the same time. yellerkat
Sounds like a "Suicide by Cop" event. Or more likely a "Suicide by Stupidity" attack.
workingpoor
Well.....well......well....... German police say a man who was shot dead as he attacked a police station in Paris on Thursday had been living in a shelter for asylum seekers in Germany. Police searched the building in the western town of Recklinghausen but found no evidence of further attacks. It is not clear if he was among the many migrants who arrived in Germany in 2015. He was reportedly arrested over a robbery in France in 2013. He was shot dead on the anniversary of the 2015 Charlie Hebdo attacks. The suspect was carrying a meat cleaver and wearing a dummy suicide vest. A piece of paper found on his body "pledged allegiance" to so-called Islamic State (IS) and vowed revenge for French "attacks in Syria". German police said he had drawn an IS symbol on the wall of a room in the shelter. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-35274765
