Why? because I walk sixty miles a week, and don't want rubbed ankles. Do you see Murray wearing no socks for a three hour stint or anybody that is actually doing sustained physical activity. Not sure how to post a picture, but one thing the Romans did for us was Oxyrhynchian Romano-Egyptian socks, with divided toes, for use with sandals. Bloo Loo Posted July 27, 2013 Share Posted July 27, 2013 wearing shorts one afternoon this week, it was time to slip up to the post box...I slipped on my black town shoes parked near the door. "You cant go out like that" came the stern voice if my Entertainments and fashion manager Mrs Loo. Ignoring her, I made the 200 yard walk to the post box and back without personal incident, but 3 fashion police cars managed to mount kerbs and cause mayhem.
