Prescience
Baskin Robbins from Safeway in San Jose. Best in the UK for traditional icecream? Rossis: local to me but also seen here and there in East London. Francis Rossi (Lead Guitar from Status Quo) is one of the Italian Rossi family. Demon stuff! Guest anorthosite
That's a blatant attempt at trying to increase Scottish GDP! waitingandsaving
Cherry Garcia. Although it really depends on how you like your icecream - some people like silky smooth ice cream, others think it's a travesty if there are no chunks... We have recently bought ourselves one of these we reckon we'll break even in less than 3 years, based on current consumption levels. I really like coffee ice cream, but apart from Carte D'Or, and the Waitrose 500ml own brand (which is very good, and generally on 2 for £5) there's not much out there. So we make out own, and it tastes fab. As does strawberries sieved into whipped double cream and bunged in the machine... or chocolate custard with a wee drop of something to help reduce it's freezing abilities... or frozen yoghurt with a swirl of honey... or even leftover smoothie. swissy_fit
No-one has mentioned Haagen-Daas, which has the benefit of being both good and widely available. Like Ben and Jerrys, they do a lot of over-sweet confections, but two stand out for me :- Strawberries and Cream (Not to be confused with the revoltingly sweet Strawberry Cheesecake) Pineapple and Coconut. (Haven't seen that one for ages).
