Exactly.

It's about an immigration policy not a vote for extermination camps.

Sadly there are those to whom both these measures seem identical. Any sort of control or restraint suggested and they holler 'police state'.

'Bout time the rest of us started to holler " Anarchy, anarchy!", with more chance of hitting on the truth than they.

Fvck off with this xenophobic, hate and fear mongering crap.

Would you rather have London inhabited exclusively by a poor, uneducated, white trash, violent, criminal class instead?

xenophobic - suffering from xenophobia; having abnormal fear or hatred of the strange or foreign.

DO the British have an abnormal fear/hatred? Name me a country which is less xenophobic.

According to your definition of this word, all the civilised countries must be thus afflicted, as they have very strict controls on who get to live there.

Time you moved into the big wide world and realised that you and your ilk are a deluded minority, flying the flag for a nonexistent reality, as well as impractical way of viewing the world.

Repetitious screeds where folk chant the same old mantra, containing the words bigot, fascist, racist, zenophobe, without any support for these claims, are losing their impact.

As Pat Condell states - using the word 'racist' in this cavalier, slap-happy fashion is an insult to everyone who has REALLY suffered from racism. You undermine the reality of the crime itself.

No I don't think people are saying that really.

It's just a failure to even acknowledge that these issues are happening which gets the goat of those on the right. <_<

You only have to look at some of the replies to see that.

I am less right-wing that Nu Labour, as judged by their monitoring police state measures. I am an old Socialist. I am for the working wo/man: not the obscenely rich, the shiftless and the non-contributors to the state purse - as are Nu.Lab.

Good point as always Jess.

The inescapable truth of all this is that ZaNu - Labour have screwed up this issue as spectacularly as they have the economy, education, defence and almost every other key area. Their combination of robot like ideology and contempt for alternative views is at the root of the sad decline of our society over the last decade or more. Witness the pathetic cries of 'nazi' etc against anyone who disagrees with them and when under pressure ZaNu diehards blaming it all on 'Thatcher' when these scumbags have been in office for twelve years or more.

It's hard to tell which is worst; their bankrupt globalist ideology, their arrogance or their sheer incompetence, corruption and contempt for the British people...........

"No one can seriously deny the fact that London is fast becoming a third world hell hole out side the few remaining super expensive enclaves."

I can and I do.

Nearly three years ago I spent a week in Port Harcourt in Nigeria. I wouldn't describe the place as a "third world hell hole" but there are some on this thread that might.

London is not fast becoming like Port Harcourt.

Anyone that says so is talking twaddle.

+1

London and especially East London, has always been full of immigrants. Spitalfields experienced a huge influx of Hugonots between the 16th - 18th Century and established the weaving industry there.

Well you come across as a dinosaur. I have little interest in your politics, all I know is that on the odd occasion I look at a thread that is moaning about ‘bl00dy foreigners’ your name is plastered all over it, along with your usual sad, bitter, crowd of friends. I do not see you post on other, house price, related threads. Which makes me wonder why you do not wander off and lurk on bigotedsocialist.com or bnplover.com.................

I can't see anything wrong with AJ's post.

In any event, why would you want to censure a valid debate about real issues in most inner cities?

How dare you!

Remember ZaNu and it's supporters (even the ones who don't admit it now) don't like debate about their version of the truth............and you must be a nazi for pointing it out..............

 We now add 'dinosaur' to the list of labels for those whose opinions/value systems differs to theirs - and THESE are the types who hotly condemn negative labels being attached to people when their culture/value systems differs to others?

Risible - as well as illogical. <_<

In case you ain't noticed, prejudice isn't JUST about racism - although 'survival' is a label I'd attribute to the attitudes that abound on this subject - NOT racism. In fact in this country prejudice is more about ageism and sexism, but I can't expect you to be up to scratch on such matters. You were probably impregnated with this dogma years ago, so without the means to update information received, maybe you are the dinosaur, my friend.

You also omit to mention - not a surprise for one who is a hypocrite - that YOU feature on these threads, usually telling people off for daring to object to dictator-like measures being taken in this country.

Go look at those on the board, intellect from all counties there.

You, as per usual, can't address what everyone with a once of common sense can see what is obviously happening.

I remember watching several BBC TV clips years ago showing class rooms from inner cities, it was obvious from these clips that large areas were full of children from ethnic minorites whose first lanuage may not have been English.

Go look at C4's dispatches films detailing Slough recent plight they show interviews from teachers showing at least fourty different languages being spoken in their schools.

Just because you have a mental blindspot about anything to do with race, immigration and culture, doesn't mean it ain't happening.

You recently wanted a hobby didn't you, firstly, I'd open your eyes and then take those blinkers off. <_<

Condescending as always. What is a once of common sense by the way?

I have some concerns about immigration levels and the wider policy of multi-culturalism, nothing is very clear cut in this area as far as I can see. However, my hackles become raised when I see the usual Daily Mail reactionary headlines spouting their usual Little England nonsense to massage the righteous hatred of lower middle-class bigots.

It seems to have gone over their heads - why wouldn't it - that stifling debate was just one of the things Geo. Orwell pointed out in his texts, and he wasn't alone.

"Censorship reflects society's lack of confidence in itself. It is a hallmark of an authoritarian regime" Stewart

"We can never be sure that the opinion we are endeavoring to stifle is a false opinion; and if we were sure, stifling it would be an evil still." ~John Stuart Mill, On Liberty, 1859

Stifling free speech came with PC - in the guise of being polite and courteous to others. Frankly anything with the word 'political' in it arouses my immediate suspicions. I guess those who only learned by rote/indoctrination don't have the facility to exercise discretion.

I've just waded through Peter Ackroyd's Biography of London and one thing that sticks out is that if anything, it has always been a city of immigrants.

The bottom line is, when all the outrage, flinging of insults and clambering onto a self-righteous pinnacles- in order to throw rocks at us poor sinners - has been enacted.

Are the Migration Watch findings TRUE or FALSE? and what is the solution for the welfare of this country and its inhabitants - if it IS true?

See?

Not even you guys can have an open, honest and reasonable debate about a subject which has implications both good and bad for your country.

Government needs to publish clear and truthful facts about:

a. who (from which countries) and;

b.how many and;

c. with what qualifications/skills doing what jobs and;

d. how many on welfare

Also,

Clear information regarding the immigration process, checks and balances.

Just what is going on? I would suggest no one knows.

Unless the real truth is discussed openly, during a recession/depression it will be inevitable more and more people will be drawn to the far right with the consequent effects on society. Ignorance of the general public is playing into the hands of both political factions.

Other countries have strict immigration policies even without having a welfare state open to their own people.

Let's be rational.

Well there you have it everyone. The perfect attack on someone merely (and in my opinion), expressing pefectly sane, logical views and arguments on our countries pathetic immigration policy.

Pond321 (is this your address?), I actually pity you for becoming a victim of the PC nonsence which does nothing to debate and resolution but suppress and postpone it.

Very true Jess - Orwell saw so much of what ZaNu Labour represents coming.

JoeSchlong will I am sure be along later to call us all nazis and confirm the point................that's if he's finished abusing his domestic help (must be tough cleaning houses in Notting Hill, Brighton and the South of France), running his international business (yeh, right) and being a Labour activist (sadly probably the only true part of his persona). If we are really lucky his homophobe mate Perfectionist will chip in so they can support each other as usual. Clearly not the 'sad, bitter crowd of friends' that Pond refers to above

Anyone using the term ZaNu Labour is learly relinquishing any claim to be offering a valid point. Do so by all means, but do not expect to be taken seriously.

It occurs to me that the school I went to as a teenager probably had a majority who did not have English as the first family language. Indeed, my middle school had a hole in the floor, allowing people to see the class room below. I do not think things are going down as fast as we believe, or rather they were not that much better.

Attack and name-calling are all that is available to those wo have not moved out of the schoolyard - intellectually speaking. I would welcome some counter argument to my comments but all I ever get is abuse... and from those professing liberal ideals.

About as liberal as Stalin.
