  1. If Rishi doesn't sell it to them (or his father in law) for a nice backhander first
  2. Back in 2012 Boscombe had 60 drug rehablitation centres - when addicts were released from prison they ended up in Boscombe, which is why Boscombe has gone so downhill in the past 20 years. It eventually became a waste of time for the beggers/addicts as everyone avoided the high street so they all decamped to Bournemouth, which has deteriorated so fast it's shocking. Add in the knife crime in the evenings and the town is pretty much dead compared to what it was 20+ years ago.
  3. Sunak's obviously been reading the Mumsnet thread whereby they're all voting conservative because apparently Sunak knows what a man is. The most important issue isn't poverty, homelessness, the nhs, pot holes, immigration, war or where the hell all the tax money is going, no, what's important is toilets and changing rooms
  4. I think the longer Rishi waits before calling an election the more votes the Tories will lose. If he waits till the end of the year they'll be lucky to get 1 seat at this rate...
  5. More useless than labour in opposition, more useless than tories in power? useless or not the point is tories would be on the back benches and have to sort themselves out, and it would put the shits up labour too, to realise than its not just a game or red or blue
  6. Ideally Lib Dems doing well in the local elections will get more people voting for them in the GE and when Labour inevitably win, LD come 2nd and become the opposition instead of Tories. Also if Keir could lose his seat in the GE that would be perfect
  7. I was looking at a similar one also on IOW a few months ago and couldn't believe what I was reading
  8. I can't find the mumsnet thread now but there was one a week ago saying they weren't getting any viewings and then others commenting that many people viewing the properties aren't proceedable because they haven't even got their property on the market yet!!!! So If there's currently more properties for sell than buyers, but if even a quarter of the buyers haven't put a for sale sign up yet then it's going to get even worse when they do...
  9. So that's 72,000 people who won't be able to contribute to their rent/mortgage. What's the betting that the increase in spending on defence involves one of his father in laws companies??
  10. there's no picture of the garden, but fortunately you can see the vegetation through the back door and the landing window....
  11. that's not a flat - god it's depressing that people live like that, let alone pay so much money to do so I remember a friend being stuck in a studio flat with her boyfriend in the late 80's after the price dropped from £30k and I thought that was bad
  12. She's going to be even more demoralised when they make a loss, having bought at £395K
  13. this makes me so angry, how do they ****** up so badly and then get awarded another lucrative job......he should be in prison....
  14. He said competent government........not sure why you think he's referring to labour 😁
  15. seems a bargain when you see this one a few roads away https://www.onthemarket.com/details/14436777/
  16. Why? Many aren't paying 5% interest YET. Judging by the comments on places like mumsnet, here's still a lot of head in the sand belief that rates will come back down, and that property prices will start rising again. In the 1990s recession house prices peaked in 1989, there was 75k repossessions in 1991, 68k in 1992, but prices didn't hit the bottom until 1993.
  17. I'm not sure what that's an example of.....dropped £25k after being on the market for 8 days and then when it still hasn't sold 56 days later that decided to increase by £10k Do sellers not realise all these price adjustments are visable....

  20. I didn't read the question properly and can't change my answer to yes 🤦‍♀️
  21. https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/86337741?utm_campaign=property-details&utm_content=buying&utm_medium=sharing&utm_source=copytoclipboard#/&channel=RES_BUY best thing about it is that it’s detached, so you can knock it down
  22. Eastlands in New Milton. Its still there and you still have to be under 35 to buy a house there. I noticed the other day though that all the houses are leasehold. I suppose they have to be in order to have the under 35 rule?
  23. wouldn't the government pay care home fees for her? when we looked at care homes for my dad we were shown the lovely en-suite rooms he'd get for £2k a week or whatever it was and then shown the shared room you get if you can't afford to pay, which had 2 single beds and an old wardrobe, and bathroom down the hall, it was grim but it was a bed and a roof and meals and care. (I still hope that room was for effect and not what some elderly people have to live with)
