It time for you lot to,

CHEER UP!

I posted a link to this forum to a poster on another site, looking for info about Sterling.

This was his response;

Never heard of PIMCO before but can't say I disagree, GBP seems comfortable around 1.47, bottom can't be far away, yours, mine, somebody's! BTW, checked out your site UK reference, lots of good info to be had there but what a miserable bunch of people, everyone seems sooooo unhappy, discontent and despondency abounds.

Now, is it possible to arrange an HPC 'Happy Hour'. During this 60 minute period;

  1. No one talks doom and gloom
  2. No one flames another
  3. No one attacks another poster personally

You're all fantastic and I adore all of you, but please can we make it between 19:00 and 20:00 weekdays and 20:00 and 21:00 Saturday and Sunday?

Go on, use panda or in this case 'The Tank!'.

We need one of those 'Karma to you' smileys like from the ex pat site.

That should do the trick.

Reality bites hard.

I'll go buy us one now.

Actually, all this miserable news makes me happy!

Bovie, Wilsons, house lotteries, pound, NuLabour, BTL, property developers, benefits, property porn, Krustie's credibility - all on the way down.

That's before we even got onto the real deal of actual PRICES!

Never a day goes by now without some "good" news. It's like having Christmas every day!

My face when I log on each morning: :lol:

You could cheer people up by posting a larger version of your avatar.

Seconded

I earlier posted that the future was brighter than the past and that we should keep our chins up.

I cited Cuba as a good example of how a society could overcome big problems.

Didn't really go down very well.

It soon might be time to concentrate on the future rather than just watching the train wreck.

Actually, it has been scientifically prooved that 'happy thinking' changes your brainwave patterns and 'negative thinking' also changes them - the more you do one than the other kind of sets your brainwaves in a specific pattern and can lead to serious mental health problems ranging from feeling pretty negative to being miserable to being manically depressed.

Think happy thoughts.

Rejoice in the roof over your head, the food in your belly, the fact that your willy works and that there are plenty of beautiful women, or men if you are a woman, to look at. Be happy. Love and light as a friend of mine often says.

Same here. What's taken with one hand, arrives back slightly better in the other almost at the same time.

(I'm not in Sterling btw).
