My main fear is that govt borrowing wont work (it wont) and you steal resources (iran) and claim them yours, then borrow against that too...imperialism is on its way back to a store near you!

My fear is that this is already 'priced in'...

logically it is the only way, if you wish to keep up with your debt and spending but dont earn the money then it has to be liberated...from others.

The people who run the government only do it to steal for themselves. As the state is looking dodgy relative to other things they could be doing, they will try and fit a careers worth of looting the public purse into 18 months, then hand the public the empty bag.

It's all classic end of days/state failure behaviour - see every state collapse from Gorbachev and his many houses to the fall of rome. Totally predictable and easy to read if you understand and accept that nature of the statists.

I think we need to remember even before the downturn hits the government would need to DOUBLE income tax just to break even.

40% of the population could not live without benefits due to around 7 million not working (unemployed,incapacity,single parent) and pensions.

Another 16% rely on tax credits in work due to the loss of our manufacturing base and governments trying to ensure everyone under 25k a year gets the same income whatever effort they put in.

The worst thing ever to happen to the poor was the welfare state and before anyone shouts i grew up on a council estate.

An average working class couple earning 17k each pays almost HALF in tax so their labour is supporting TWO families,.Theirs and one on benefits.

The whole system was only just sustainable on mickey mouse profits from the city.

That has gone for good.In 10 years the welfare state as we know it will not exist.It cant.

The social costs together with the economic termoil is only just starting.

The establishment is throwing everything to keep the status quo because without the welfare state their power is gone.

Economics and freedom of individuals is in war with command and control .The next 10 years will be the most defining one way or another for the people of this country since the industrial revolution.

As Charles Dickens said then,"It was the best of times,it was the worst of times".

They can then use the profits to expand the welfare state, and guarantee a large Labour vote.

Where they go from there, I don't know. They may, in their warped thinking, that they can turn the UK into a commmunist state.

This is a waste of time as a coup would stop this, Similar to the coup planned to rid us of Harold Wilson's government.

Have a look at the backgrounds of some of the Labour party members. Some have been members of commie organisations.

Simple really.

It's crazed drug-addict syndrome.

whether it's credit,drugs,alcohol,food or power, the withdrawal or threat of withdrawal of the substance provokes the addict into extreme measures to obtain their fix.All begging,bullying,stealing ,mugging and threats of extortion are to be fully anticipated and resisted.

The state needs a severe case of de-tox.

Anybody who has dealt with people suffering these type of afflictions knows it ain't gonna be pretty,but it is necessary to cut the supply of goodies and deal with it firmly.

Throwing more booze in the path of an alcoholic just doesn't work.

Slowly but surely a silent standoff is taking place between those who've realised what's happening and the state. As much as the media try to hide it (they say that for every story that gets in the news, there are tens of others like it that don't) people are starting to make small but decisive stands against blatant injustice.

Today, a story got into the local news in Bristol in which residents of St. Pauls decided to make a stand by staging a rooftop prtest, against the housing associations that would rather sell their stock than rent it out to people at affordable rates. One protester complained about the gentrification of the inner city and that housing supposedly provided for people on low incomes was being sold off at premium rates, flying in the face of everything that housing associations were meant to stand for.

This is one small example - I'm sure there are hundreds, thousands of others. Enough is enough, people are sick of being fleeced and they are sick of seeing profit come before people all the time and everywhere, in all areas of life.

NHS hospitals where visitors must pay exorbitant charges to visit sick relatives.

Housing associations who are more interested in profit than in doing what they are paid to do.

Charities and care providers who've lost millions in deposits placed in Icelandic banks.

PPPs in which private financiers profited by refinancing at lower rates and not passing on the savings to the public bodies they were supposed to be helping.

The list could go on and on, I'm sure people can add to it.

When a state becomes so corrupt, so rotten to the core that it's no longer possible to bleed any more profit from people on behalf of the bankers without seriously upsetting the status quo and you know something is going to blow.

the goverment doesn't want to help out the charities who lost out with the banks..or any of the otheir things you have pointed out,,out of touch if you ask me..mind you i'm a twit so i have been told by one or two people on this site..so i think what i say means..er...zero.. but people write into your mp's this is the best way to get these things changed..every letter will make a little differnce.

Are you kidding? ....

MPs have two addresses, A and B , and two letter boxes , when they order stuff from say Amazon it goes to Address A bribes are also asked to be sent to address A.

When they put out their propaganda they put address B on the propaganda forms so people send letters of complaint to address B , which is actually a chute at the front of the house which leads to a furnace..
