Hi buytoilet,

Interesting that Wythenshawe is included within Manchester's 'banned' postcodes:

M22 Manchester Wythenshawe postcode including Peel Hall, Sharston, Moss Nook, Woodhouse park, Poundswick & Benchill.

Presume they've been stung there as well as the City Centre?

I dont think there is a lender in the country that will lend on Thamesmead, because of all the fraud but am interested in the other parts of the country.

What is Wythenshawe like as a place?

Shameless is supposed to be Wythenshawe, but too dangerous to film on. Our troops train there before going to Basra.

Europe's biggest council estate. It's clear why they want fat equity there - exLA homes will plummet in value and you will find the MEW crowd there in numbers too....

David Cameron had a run in with some hoodies there

Willow Park Housing Trust has been granted funding to help build over 300 new homes for rent and shared ownership. Willow park took over the council housing. From what I know they knocked a lot down and built some lovely new stuff.

Search on rightmove - wythenshawe - this area only by lowest price and you'll see the problem ... looks like lots of newbuild up for sale

I was about to express surprise about Rotherhithe being a particular issue but thinking through the new build developments there I'm not surprised, every new building seems to get smaller and smaller and smaller.

Nice area aside from that though.

I am told that there are large numbers of unsold flats in Cardiff Bay - I mean, luxury city centre living appartments!

yep Cardiff Bay is doomed....but we both new that already mun

Aaah Benchill. Its lovely in the autumn. Its nice to have some leaves to lie on, whilst you're getting your head kicked in © Frank Skinner.

I'm surprised they'll lend on Hulme/M15.
