Timm
Some people have obviously not been reading the papers. Two bed semi I know the location. The view will be staggering, however the owner will have to ignore the beach-full of screaming kids, pissed up chavs, 70 something tramps artists and born again surfers, directly (and I do mean directly) under the balcony. ScaredEitherWay
Here's the RM link http://www.rightmove.co.uk/viewdetails-191...=1&tr_t=buy It is very unusual to have any vehicle access or parking down that bit. It is nice looking. Cornwall's a peculiar market. Houses like that are not locals. They're rich Londoners and rich ex-London retirees in the main. Not every day though .... only the hot/sunny/nice days And at night ... bonfires... and god knows what. People seeing if their pee can reach the balcony after 6 lagers. Bubble&Squeak
Hadn't realised Foxtons were trading in Cornwall seriously though the "This Is" web site is just a regional VI spin machine, have a look at the links at the bottom of the page... shows which side their bread is buttered EDIT: Removed quote Edited March 15, 2008 by Bubble&Squeak
dog
There has to be a link with fundamentals at some point. It the owner rented it out, he would have to get £450 a night for 200 days a year to cover his costs. Alternatively, you could have a suite at the Porthminster for £120 a night and get dinner and breakfast thrown in. I am begining to believe that people really do have sawdust for brains. It's not a investment. They are trying to sell it as a "lock and leave". A second home that is all about the status. 75% of the value (whatever that is), is the value of having your guests go "wow" when they see the view. A value ruined by the cider fueled shenanagans every evening under your balcony.

Scunnered
the views are pretty good from the bedroom though. Shows you how small the rooms are. There's no way that couple would fit in the bedroom.

Guest Mr Parry
Some people have obviously not been reading the papers. Two bed semi "The highest prices hit £1,000 a sq ft in the Cornish towns of Rock and Padstow and £1,100 a sq ft in Sandbanks, Dorset." I paid 1000 Baht (£15) a square metre, in the tropics over looking a stunning bay, a blue sea. Build cost is estimated at £12 sq.m. What is wrong with this country? Why do people think it's the be all and end all?
lulu
Some people have obviously not been reading the papers. Two bed semi Thing is I bet it sells, it has taken me a while to realise but people in the UK are on the whole morons the majority of whom are effing clueless. If I had a spare £1,000,000 I would find something better to do with it than buy a seaside property in Cornwall.
