ccc
I hope some of you are watching this. Classic case of a bloke who is trying to make a fortune. With zero clue, zero money and piles of debts. Putting his family in great risk of homelessness. He then decides to go out and splash on a jag (Credit of course) coz he likes driving a nice car. These people should really be charged with some sort of offence.

The programme seemed so intent on reiterating how much this couple loved each other and their family, that it almost missed the fact that neither should be in charge of a winkle stall, let alone an airline. Our man didn't seem to realise the difference between a signed contract and a 'commitment'. I wouldn't be surprised that the committment was 'If you raise another ten million yourself we might be interested...'

ScaredEitherWay
I never understand all these TV channels. Used to 4 channels, now got a freeview box for the first time. Never had/seen/used one of those before. But is Channel4+1 the same as E4+1? Because my E4+1 is My Name is Earl going to flick round again, see if there's another channel I've not spotted yet UPDATE: Aaah... found it. I suspect there are a lot more like them around.
Rachman
Had he not been from Yorkshire i would tend to agree! In the real world, he's got less than no chance of getting his airline going now. What I could not understand is how he was going about it anyway - none of it made sense - the cars were worth nothing - certainly not £850 a month - for a 5 year old ZT worth £5K and a nasty Discovery II TD5. The Merc he had was worth a grand tops, the Escort £200 and the Jag is also worth nowt - X types are worse than Mondeos for depreciation - and 3 litre petrols are even worse than that..... The house was odd -almost excouncil and a tip. If they had both got divorced and done OK, why was the house circa 1978. The business plan was hilarious. He was also lying through his teeth about the deal he was trying to do - 1005 obvious - everything he did showed he was lying - the money was never on the table - if any of it were real. Fair play to a dreamer, but dreamers end up having nightmares.

Why go to the trouble of starting a business to make serious money when he could just contact Liam Johnson of NatWest Bank and be a multi-millionaire within days. If he does make contact then £4.5m is just waiting for him (well according to the following email I received today from Liam). The guy on TV looks like he might be up for it - he's already made a complete fool of himself in front of the nation. Attention, l am Liam Johnson,Exchange Director of Natwest Bank In London.Mr Gerald Stone deposited 15m GPB with our Bank before he died.I promise to give you 30% of the total funds transferred to your bank account for your assistance.I wait to receive your Full Name,Address,Phone&Fax Number Regards, Liam Johnson. +44 704 571 2313 Ahora también puedes acceder a tu correo Terra desde el móvil. frankief
Yes, saw it on Channel 4 +1. Not exactly Richard Branson was he? I suspect it takes more than £2M to start an airline. And who would invest in somebody with no experience in the business who has a pork pie in his pocket? He was a loser. His wife was nice, but I cried when she had to sell the horse. I had visions of them having to eat horsemeat at the end or the Lebanese businessmen leaving the horses head in the bed as a warning that loan repayments are not covered by FSA regulations. Archaic
My partner worked as a graphic designer for there company. They started after the program finished but I can assure you he is genuinely how you saw him on the program. It is definitely a true reflection of his character. Purely driven by greed he promised the world but delivered on nothing. It made us both chuckle that night as my partner was there for some of the duration of filming. My partner no longer works for the company and neither do Andrew or Vicki as they upped sticks and left one day. The last I heard was that they had to move again and started up a consultancy firm. What it is in I have no idea but what the hell could they advise - How not to do it.
