  7. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/8068870.stm No recovery signs House prices fell by 19.1% in the first three months of the year from the same time last year, the Standard & Poor's/Case-Shiller National Home Price index suggested. It also showed home prices had fallen 32.2% since peaking in the second quarter of 2006. However, it suggested that the pace of month-on-month declines had slowed. The housing index, which looks at 20 key cities, saw prices fall by 18.7% in March from the year before. These declines were slightly better than February's falls, and it was the second straight month that indexes did not post record drops. But there were still no signs that home prices had hit the bottom, said David M Blitzer, chairman of the S&P index committee. "We see no evidence that a recovery in home prices has begun," he said.
  8. Another liar loan merchant caught out, many more to come. These are the type of people who got us in this mess. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/8002214.stm
  9. LOT 81 2005-10-2816 Hurstwood, Ashton-Under-Lyne, Greater Manchester, OL6 8AY Terrace, Leasehold, New Build add details... £143,150 http://www.eigroup.co.uk/auctioneers/templ...ah&l=533841 Sold at auction yesterday for £80000 Down 44% from 2005 price
  10. The goverment don't want prices to Plummet, just to fall swiftly. There may be one or two bumps in the property price graph over the next couple of years, but the trend will be down.
  11. Some nearby properties which have been on the market for over a year and have dropped the asking price by 25% and still have not sold. Some sellers are just chasing the market down.
  12. So you believe prices will rise 10% this year. Keep believing
  13. Most of these who are shouting about how good BTL is are just trying to get out, and are just trying to get someone to buy theirs off them. Had a guy telling me and my friend in the pub how good his 10 BTLs were. When he had gone his mate told us he had been trying to offload them for almost a year, and that he had some bad experinces with non payers and junkies.
  14. Good post, I cannot believe that these bully people think we are going to jump staight back into the mess we will be getting out off for the next 10 years. But i expect if you are stuck with a lot of overpriced property you will try anything.
  15. Lets hope that the Nationwide keeps lending sensible now it is geting larger.
  16. Good post, the rent to wages ratio are way out of line for most of the country, they will fall. Same as you say wages have not risen no were near as fast as rents have. The goverment have to take the blame for this with to generous housing benefits.
  17. Stop Pyramid selling scams. Eg the housing market over the last few years.
  18. Return to regulated rents, would save the goverment a fortune.
  19. Not if rents keep falling, plenty of empty units at present.
  20. Also how can LHA be so much higher the long term regulated rents.
  21. Won't LHA be adjusted negative if RPI goes negative.
  22. We may see a couple of bumps in the graph, but over the next couple of years the graph for house price will be a negative overhaul direction.
