happy_renting
If this is true, I would expect people with lots of 'friends' (extroverts) to be dying of cancer. Personally, if electromagnetic fields are the problem then you need to rip out your electricity cabling. The TV News companies reporting on the alleged dangers of mobile phones never mention that they often use radio spectrum previously used by megawatt TV transmitters. Funny that. The Eagle
You all seem to think that you are a lot more knowledgeable than those 200 scientists... Dorkins is clearly the leading expert here with his claim that infrared is a form of electromagnetic radiation. (hint: it's a form of radiation, but certainly not electromagnetic) Or is it denial as you are too addicted to your wireless gadgets?
Nuggets Mahoney
That's at least two of us who believe IR is electromagnetic radiation. edit #1: edit #2: 'Appeals to Authority' are a curious thing. If 200 scientists, or other corporate media outlets or whatever, say something that fits with a pre-existing view they're worth listening to. If they disagree with a pre-existing view they're probably deluded or corrupt in some way. 'If I were wrong, then one would have been enough!...' The funny thing is you think you are more knowledgeable than a lot of HPC posters with science backgrounds. Infrared is part of the electromagnetic spectrum. happy_renting
Does a hot copy of coffee create a magnetic field. Thought not. it will give off infrared electromagnetic radiation. Edit to add " "
Hail the Tripod
it will give off infrared electromagnetic radiation. Try telling that to a photon.
thecrashingisles
I always order an organic soya latte with no EMF and pre-digested coffee beans just to be on the safe side.
