interestrateripoff
'Get them Duke boys!': Newlyweds on their way to wedding reception in Dukes of Hazzard replica car are pulled over by police after their driver sounds illegal Dixie horn Ali, 34, and Paul Bartlett, 43, from Weymouth, were on their way to their wedding reception after tying the knot in Portland Castle, Dorset, in a replica Dodge Charger. But when their driver sounded the Dixie horn, they were pulled over by the police because the horn, which features in 80's TV show Dukes of Hazzard, is illegal. This comes a close second. Police dealing with serious crime of somebody sounding a funky car horn. One more for the crime statistics and well worth the court time.

19 year mortgage 8itch
A double-barreled boomer too. I've seen comments in the US about peak-golf and arguments over whether its a demographic issue or popping of the Tiger Woods bubble but in the UK I look forward to them closing as their clientele become too infirm to pay their fees. interestrateripoff
Mother who was left with locked-in syndrome after suffering a stroke completes a degree by BLINKING (and each exam took her three weeks) Dawn Faizey Webster (left in 2000, aged 27), now 42, from Staffordshire, was left with locked-in syndrome after the attack in 2003 - two weeks after her son Alexander was born. But she eventually discovered she could still communicate through her eyes and tiny head movements. She has now achieved a 2:2 degree in Ancient History and written an autobiography - all thanks to a specialised laptop that translates her eye movements into text. For six years, she worked three-hours a day on the degree, nudging buttons either side of her head to move the cursor on the screen and blinking to register the letters. She is now hoping to tackle a Masters in History of Art. Ms Faizey Webster said: 'When I passed my degree, I was so pleased and proud of myself. After the stroke I felt I needed to prove to myself and to others that I was still me, Dawn.' An impressive achievement.
