They own a PC. They hacked the Apache server this website is hosted on and downloaded a list of members and their last IP. They cross referenced this with the DNS server and traced the address. They then searched the hpc forum for all mention of gold and made a list of potential hoarders. They then organised into small gangs and paid you a visit..................

sounds a lot of trouble to go to for a depressed skull fracture and missing limbs...they may as well just throw themselves under a bus

I think we should ship all the people who are likely to steel our gold off to their own little island just to be on the safe side, somewhere cold....And anybody who looks a bit dodgy would have to go as well just as a precautionary measure.

We would need to have hoards of transit van drivers who's only purpose in life would be to round up the hooded people and ship em off to the skally isles.

Let the scroungers fend for themselves thats what i say. And we could all watch it on interactive tv or something. Press the red button to release the hounds...That sort of thing.

how so? how would i service those debts when inflation causes interest rates to rise quickly and all other food and bills to rise while my income will certainly not be rising at the same pace. If i got a house and took a mortgage then how would those payments be made when rates continually increase but income does not?

Why would your income not rise? Any inflation which did not raise incomes would be very short-lived indeed. Also, why would interest rates go up? I was under the impression that those who believed in high inflation thought that the government would be doing nothing about it. If they were to do something about it then it wouldn’t go very far.

again have you even seen the film, in order to know fully the "stuff im saying" you need to..

I like you, I like where your coming from. I would class myself as a libertarian myself, and I'm keeping a very open mind on the merits of any and all government intervention that is currently excepted.

However, not wanting to be rude. But you do come across as a little petulant, and perhaps slightly below average intelligence. You seem to have been impressed by the Peter Schiff type view and decided to support that stance dogmatically, but at the moment you seem to to get the basics wrong and misjudge the point often enough that your posts are a bit of a waste of time.

So yes, stop taking the quick fix of youtube videos and documentaries, start posting less and reading more. That book I linked you is perfect for you. It explains clearly all the sorts of things advocated by your school of thought, but it does them properly.

Website would already have gone and admin off looking for food. BT packed up also. Without the utility companys up and running there is no data. All with the means will go straight to bank vaults for the big hoards. Including a collapsed swizerland.

ah, you're a public servant I see. You actually work for me then. :)

edited - do you have a bunch of keys hanging from your trousers ? important keys......obviously..... ;)

No I work for me....my uni housemate got a job at the GCHQ ( he wouldn't admit it though..)

I'm not a computer specialist but you can be traced easily by your Internet connection and governments are privy to the information that enables this. Try goggling some practical terrorist stuff and change your name to Grumpy Bin laden by deed-poll and see what happens...........:ph34r::ph34r::ph34r::ph34r:

I have been reading a lot lately, lots from economists etc. seems that many expect inflation but none of the inflationists advocate taking on more debt. The one thing that the inflationists and deflationists agree on, as far as i can tell, is that the best position to be in is debt free.

My own understanding of this is that when inflation arrives that interest rtates would also increase which would make debts more expensive. During the last recession interest rates rose sharply and quickly, peoples wages were not increased at the same time or rate as the boe was raising rates so debts like mortgagaes got far harder to pay. Isn't that why there were so many reposessions? Having assets is another matter and clearly why I hold gold, land or a house would be the perfect asset to own but thats just it, unless you can buy it outright no one is advocating taking on real estate, not deflationists or inflationists.

But your constantly demanding specific answers to your very vague questions when your not entirely sure what point your actually making.

A typical Yogi post is to link a video that at least half an hour long. Then say answer that.

Then post 5 or 6 times more demanding an answer to whatever video you linked.

The trouble is, you watched that video, identified it loosely belongs to your dogma, but you really don't quite have the knowledge to understand it. So you just demand a rebuke to an argument on a video that your not capable of fully understanding yourself let alone making yourself.

If you want to assert your own belief on a narrow point. Then welcome criticism like the OP or many other do, then fine, I will respond where I disagree.

But I am not going to sit their and watch the latest video you found and then explain it to you while you sound off vaguely, again.

I watched the video, it didn't have anything in it that I have not really herd before, I identified it with what I believe at the moment and the truth is I don't have the knowledge to fully understand what it means.

Not everyone on the internet is trolling or just killing time, personally I am trying to learn about this. Reading books is great but discussion with answers and questions with those that understand is far more valueble.

Please would you share your take on the video? does this mean inflation/deflation? what does it really mean to us?

wasnt uk govt one of the first with index linked gilts in 1980 or thereabouts?

the finnish gov't started issuing "inflation"-indexed bonds in 1946:

http://resources.metapress.com/pdf-preview...mp;size=largest

edit: I put "inflation" in quotation marks, because of course these bonds were linked to a gov't price index (finnish CPI) rather than actual inflation.

well obviously I agree with & understand all of this. I have been discussing stuff like this for a few years.

You have changed slant from 'the local chavs' to 'GHCQ chavs' a tad different methinks. ;)

Yes, but you must enjoy arguing with them.

Most of the people your quoting here and arguing these pointless arguments with I already have on ignore. It does not matter what you say, ever, they will always argue with you.

Without facts there will always be argument.

Facts of the first principle kind,or the incontrovertible sort.

so your not really talking about your average chav then ?

hence my rather good line i though, about the Oxford/Cambridge chavs......

that's where you should have left it imo.

don't let the gold thingy get in your line of sight to much when discussing other stuff.

For example I may disagree with you on one thing & agree on another. I don't (or try not to) base my replies on the person, more the initial reply that I am responding to.

It is difficult to do this obviously & we all make mistakes obviously. :)

I think we appear to be at roughly similar stances on the current situation ?
