Is Boris good for house price growth?
bear.getting.old replied to Burbujista's topic in House prices and the economy
So very wrong on all counts. You sound like you would rather the rich get poorer in order to make the poor look a bit better off in comparison. A conservative government is really the only hope this country has left. -

That trick is not appearing to work on FT.com -
What a nasty, thick, brainwashed moron. He deserves every bit of bad luck he gets

Exactly, brexit is the perfect scapegoat for everything. House prices are falling around the world, it has nothing to do with brexit at all. Asset boom correction

House Prices vs Salaries
bear.getting.old replied to HPC Pollster's topic in House prices and the economy
It's because in the UK the left wing have (since at least the last 60 years anyway) been fiscally irresponsible. The voucher system would protect tax payers money - 'other peoples money', something that Labour/Corbyn/Iib Dems/Greens hold no regard for. -

This is the same in many other countries. For some reason people flock like sheep to where all the other sheep are and where the jobs are for the sheep, all into an overcrowded area. Scotland etc and other places in the north are suffering from lack of people, jobs and services. But how can you force employers to move into these areas? They will cite a lack of skilled local workforce as a reason not to. -

It suggests that Brits are living in one person households more due to divorce and small families and foriegners are living 6 to a house like they do with all the grand parents etc -

I see the guardian readers convention is here again. Boris was a great Mayor of London unlike the terrorist Khan in charge now, and Boris will make a fantastic PM, may even rival Thatcher in history if he manages to take us out of the EU successfully. -
Max and Stacy on the HTB ponzi ....
bear.getting.old replied to Sour Mash's topic in House prices and the economy
Those two have been consistently wrong on the economy I'm glad I don't listen to them anymore. They also haven't a clue about brexit either, they have no idea what they are talking about -
Retail sales tumble across UK
bear.getting.old replied to hurlerontheditch's topic in House prices and the economy
In case you haven't noticed the UK hasn't brexited yet, so its nothing to do with that. -
You are like all the remainers on the BBC. You have something very clearly explained to you by A.Steve, but you still don't get or accept it. A Steve has put beautifully why a second referendum would not work or be appropriate. Even if we did have one and leave won again I know for sure that you and your remain ilk would STILL not accept it and want another and another until you a have worn everyone down to your wants. Deny it you will but that is your plan.
-
No. People have become even more enthusiastic about Brexit and many remain voters have swapped to Leave as they have seen the EU demonstrate to everyone how they treat the UK with contempt. But the most important point is that you can't have a second referendum before you have implemented the first one, to do so would deny democracy.
-
That's because they didn't say that, only idiots like you seized upon that number and statement and called it a promise, it wasn't to any intelligent voter and nobody is upset about it apart from bitter remainers. Anyhow Tories are already putting more money into the NHS regardless of how brexit has been betrayed by remainer MPs.
