marko Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 on BBC Breakfast now. She was actually quite vicious for breakfast telly. I love her even more now. Quote
Sledgehead Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 (edited) Ouch! That was brutal! ~08:15 on BBC Breakfast. Check it on iplayer. Esentially the Home Sec turns up to talk about something. Silverton opens with : "Good morning. The problem is you've come here to talk about *blah*, but the public wants to talk about expense claims..." and that's basically all they did! Smith is toast. If she can't communicate policy on BBC Breakfast, what will she do on Newsnight or Channel4 News? Meanwhile I'd urge Silverton to get the counter-spooks to check her place over on a regular basis. Smith is gonna be livid! Edited April 7, 2009 by Sledgehead Quote
Guest X-QUORK Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 You mean they had time between inane Turnbull banter and Hollywood gossip to interview a politician? The mind boggles. Quote
'Bart' Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 Smith is toast. Toast? Cornflakes. Time for breakfast methinks. Does anyone else think that if this were to happen 15-20 years ago, Smith would have done the decent thing by now? Quote
JustYield Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 On Today now. 5 minutes so far on her expenses. Untenable her position is. Quote

I was thinking the same thing yesterday... even mandy had the decency to fook off when his position became untenable (twice) Quote

'Bart' Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 What appeared in a organised family photo to prove how supporting they are of one another? Stood in front of some farm gates somewhere? Didn't Harry Enfield do a series of sketches about a MP apologizing for various indiscretions, supportive wife by his side? Memory is a bit vague but I think it was him. Quote

Memory is a bit vague but I think it was him. I think that was Little Britain, but I wouldn't be surprised if Enfield did something like it too. Quote
