sheepmoney Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 - Niall Fergusen - Robert Pretcher (January 2009, Elliot Wave forecast), - Nadeem Walayat - Jim Rogers - Dan Atkinson - Ambrose Evans-Pritchard - Philip Delves Broughton - Mike Shedlock - Adrian Ash - John Stepek - Grant Thornton Who else? While I don't think the U.K government going bankrupt and needing a bailout from the IMF is the end of our society it sure is getting pretty worrying. I think it is about time the BBC discussed this on their main broadcast. Quote
bobthe~ Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Yes but the following aren't, so it's OK Gordon Brown Ruth Lea Kirsty Allsopp Stuart Law Duncan Ballantyne (sp?) Peter Jones Sir Fred Goodwin Sir James Crosby Stephen Nolan Grant Bovey Quote
SNACR Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 They won't discuss it, you'll just eventually get a quick glimpse of Robert Peston's microphone being snatched off him by a bailiff. Quote
helenreed Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 I also notice that some local authorities/councils are making staff redundant - again no mention on BBC News. This is happening when the government are supposed to be helping people find/keep jobs (not that I care for most public sector 'non-job' workers). Where are Labour going to get their votes from now? sambino Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Peston was not on the news tonight and his blog hasnt been updated, is he now being held in the tower of London!! Quote

sheepmoney Posted February 16, 2009 Author Posted February 16, 2009 Peston was not on the news tonight and his blog hasnt been updated, is he now being held in the tower of London!! Peston seems to post some sense, how come I've never heard of him before and I watch BBC news daily? How come his views and the stats he reels off is not on the BBC 1 coverage? What's his views on UK bankruptcy - I couldn't dig anything up and its late and I can't be bothered looking myself. Anyone know already? Quote
interestrateripoff Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 The BBC can't discuss it as it would imply there has been a boom, there was never any boom as Ponzi Brown had abolished booms and we only had sustainable growth. Recessions have been abolished by govt diktat. Quote

sheepmoney Posted February 17, 2009 Author Posted February 17, 2009 "While I don't think the U.K government going bankrupt"I will disagree with you, you haven't seen nothing yet I think long term we are on that track if something doesn't change, but in the short term I'm not 100% sure. Although an IMF bailout does not seem that unlikely when you look at the figures. Quote

@contradevian Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 (edited) On BBC News 24 yesterday the Japanese Prime Minister was described by the anchorman as "weak" and went on to discuss the Japanese political and economic scene with a BBC reporter in a way they would never do for the UK. They seem willing to discredit other PM's and their policies provided its not the one that pays their wages. Edited February 17, 2009 by rover2000 Quote
