Surprise revelation by Murdoch's wife. No pictures or mention was made of Blair in Press coverage at the time of the ceremony.

The former prime minister was reportedly present in March last year when Murdoch’s two daughters by his third wife, Wendi, were baptised on the banks of the Jordan.

The information was not made public and its disclosure in an interview with Mrs Murdoch in Vogue will prove highly embarrassing for Mr Blair.

His close ties to the Murdochs could explain his reluctance to condemn the News International phone hacking scandal.

In July, it was reported that he asked Gordon Brown to put pressure on Tom Watson, the Labour MP who helped expose the scandal, to drop his investigation.

Mr Blair’s spokesman categorically denied the allegation.

It says more about the media than it does about the political class in this country.

I feel so very sorry for the child.

I've seen films with titles like 'Granny Was A Vampire' but a connection with Blair is true horror.

I don't understand what the big deal is. You didn't really think Murdock was going to get a homeless man from East London to be the godfather did you?

You probably think that $43 million for "advice" is good value too.

This is probably his favourite verse of The Red Flag that he sang at the Labour party conference each year:
It suits today the weak and base,
Whose minds are fixed on pelf and place
To cringe before the rich man’s frown,
And haul the sacred emblem down.
"That seemingly harmless guy has imo been the most dangerous person to run this country in my lifetime.

Too clever by half. Too conceited and self deluded by half.

Avoided every means of proper government established over centuries so that Cabinet no longer functioned properly, Parliament was ignored, the House of Lords such as it is, emasculated. The Civil Service confused and scared.

All layers of government, the media, quangos and the public sector infested with their placemen.

Even down to his own dangerous beliefs brought about by immersion in revolutionary ideology that the ends justify the means. So, happy to destroy the country further with mass immigration and globalisation to erode the Tories' power base. Don't forget socialist's first loyalty is to the party - not the country. Happy to lie and twist words to get his middle class Barrister way. Happy to cement his power with corrupt contacts with the likes of Bernie Ecclestone and Rupert Murdoch.

Only established separate 'governments' for Wales, Scotland and London to retain Labour power even in the event of electoral loss (before being chucked out in all three to his surprise!).

Established the Human Rights Act to hog tie government and create a country in his required image.

A man who plainly on all levels has no trust of democracy and has done everything in his power to corrupt it".

Do you not recognise fascism when it's right in front of your face?

The big corporates, big banks and politicians are all one big happy family, yet people think 'voters' control the direction of politics. What mugs they are!

Tony Blair??....... is that the same bloke who took a 'job', 'working' at JP Morgan...... the 'investment' bank.

What talents could he possibly have brought to such an organisation.

The focus is on Blair but isn't anyone stunned that not a single tabloid saw it fit to report on Blair's connection or published a picture of the man in his white outfit?

Rapid tabloid paparazzis would kill for a celeb picture but not a single one thought of photographing Blair? No right wing or left wing paper, no broadcaster, no one thought this seemingly harmless piece of news was worth reporting? Instead we have to hear this from abroad.

Isn't that incredible?

huh?
is this the same tony blair that decided to (but always secretly was) roman catholic.
the one who's sister has converted to islam(that might be a problem for tony as the two faiths are complete mirror-images of one another and seek to destroy each other)
.....
the one who is quite happily cosying up with marxists in his cabinet, being a man of faith and "a pretty straight sort of guy"?????

the one who along with a few others in his cabal, make charitable funds and then name them after themselves??.......how pompous is that?
well,if heaven is going to be filled with these type of people, then I think I might take my chances and stay down here.

Where will this one lead?
