crypto2001
I have made an offer for a house which has been accepted at £400k. £200k is from savings and £200k from crypto investments. Do I need to source a special conveyancer for this job? Has anyone any experience with buying a home with crypto gains? Thanks in advance. mynamehere
i've never needed to show any kind of money trail, beyond just showing a statement showing the cash is in my account I'm sure there are excerptions when the cash room needs to dig deeper, you proactively announcing the money is from crypto is probably one of them! HMRC might welcome the tax however
Jonesy74
Why not hedge your bets and get a 50% mortgage and keep 50% of the savings and crypto?

spxy
I did this, just shop around a bit, probably get a 50% rejection but will find someones without too much effort. As long as you have some money trail you'll be fine. One firm tried to charge £1.5k for money laundering checks, but the company we ended up with charged no extra at all. doomed
I ended up having to provide tax return to solicitors to proceed.
